As a musician, you had me laughing at that! I've often wondered how these cruise lines gain some of the most horrific, untalented musicians....I bet they were singing along to a canned band (from an iPad)...that's not talent at all, sorry you experienced that!

Thank you for understanding. On a cruise especially on the pool deck you dont wanna hear that and especially when they have no talent. They sure did empty the pool deck so it wasnt just me.

I have never heard of a genre called "dentist music".

Maybe you should go "On and On".

Because your argument is not remotely convincing to keep anyone from trying Celebrity...

No need to commit to anywhere in advance for PAYG. I would wait and see how you feel on the day after traveling each way, touring in the  heat and see how much time is actually left.

Krazy Lobster is fine for a budget friendly, honest location especially if you have members that want to cool off in the sea but it isn’t anywhere you need to go out of your way to visit. You will need to get a taxi back to the port from there. Also,  I would wait and assess sargassum on the day before I made any decisions.

If you do get dropped in town, Mahahual is one long beach with beach clubs shoulder-to-shoulder next to each other - some are more honest than others, and some claim to be AI, or take a cover charge but that seems to be negotiable at the moment until numbers increase again. Best to have the names of some recommendations in your mind in advance and take your pick when you see one with the level of activity you prefer.

As Crew says food and drink are more expensive in the port but you need to weigh up against taxi fare especially now they have increased fares. (For a party of 5 they may well charge $20, which is ridiculous for the distance involved - we have only traveled as a party of 2 so I cannot confirm that.)

There is a pool at the port although we have never used it, an aviary, tequila museum and chocolate place.

hi how much for 2 adults?

On royal ships you can get snacks anytime but on my celebrity ship there was just cakes -and they tasted like ones you make with jello mix. When the oceanview was closed -their windjammer there was nowhere to get food. And their Oceanview was so so so bad.

  5. just came back from cruise on celebrity and will never ever go back.It is supposed to be upscale and I didnt think so.The music was so so bad esp outdoors. You would expect for caribbean cruise some island music but instead it was 2 people who didnt know how to sing doing dentist music type songs. They were out of mint for mojitos, daquari mix and another claimed broken blender. This happened to me on royal and the bartender sent someone to get a blender. They sent me to another bar.I could go on and on.

For the 100000000000th time........vaccinated people are not afraid for their health and safety, generally. I will speak for myself here and say that my mRNA vaccine offers me protection from Covid and I feel perfectly safe. I have no fear of Covid. I have been out and about among the un-vaxxed and without a mask too.

What I do not want to deal with is a cruise vacation that will be negatively impacted if there were a Covid outbreak on board because of un-vaxxed passengers. I also do not want to adhere to safety protocols that will be dictated by un-vaxxed passengers on board.

How many times do we vaccinated folks have to say that in response to that silly comment that you made? Maybe another thousand times will do it? Will it take that many times for you to understand the stance of vaccinated people? SMH!

some people just don't wanna get it.

I just did a detail write up on Rum Point with lots of pics. We enjoyed our time at Rum Point, but sad to say the snorkeling did not work this time due to the current (wanted to do the drift snorkeling). But that is ok, as we will just have to return.

  9. I used them for cozumel without a problem.

Hi! I have seen a lot of threads about independent tour operators in Jamaica. However has anyone used Island Marketing Ltd. It seems as though they have outfits in Jamaica, Cozumel, Roatan and Puerta Vallarta. They have a tour that I am interested in and it is cheaper than the cheapest excursion I have seen thus far (if the prices include admission to the attractions). If they are reputable, I might look into them for our stop in Cozumel as well.

    Thanks.
