  1. We are looking to get from Miami Airport to Port of Miami for a family of 5. I noticed that taxis have a flat rate of $27. Does this include taxi minivans or only regular 4 passenger taxis? Any other suggestions for lower cost transportation besides the cruise line transfer shuttle that costs $16pp? Flying in the night before and staying at a local airport hotel (our flight arrives at 10pm). Thanks for any help!

  2. Just got back from there a few days ago. We paid cash, no problem. We did not want to have any credit card problems. As for the beer, I never saw any bottled beer. They had a few on tap, only one I recognized was Kalik, which was good, I thought somewhat comparable to bud light. They made good drinks and they were endless. The beach was beautiful and clear, we kayaked and did the paddle boat, swam in the pool. The food was good too, a nice buffet, and the grill near the beach had really good conch fritters. I would definitely go back! We took a taxi there for $18, but took the bus back to port for $1.25 pp and it was just as quick and easy. The front desk staff showed us the stop, and the locals on board were friendly, asked us how our vacation was, etc...

  3. Just got back from our cruise to Nassau and did Breezes. It was wonderful! Plenty to do to keep you busy, including kayaks, paddle boats, etc... and the beach was clean with crystal clear water. We chatted with a couple who rented jet skis a few hundred yards from the resort for a half hour and they loved it. It looked fun. That being said, it is a group of locals standing on the beach and renting you the jet skis, so I would say it is do it at your own risk. The beach was safe and very calm. I am sure you will enjoy yourself even if you skip the jet skis!

  4. We just got back from Nassau and did Breezes. We loved it. For $80pp, there was plenty of drinks to choose from and they were great! The beach was perfect, with nice clear water. We snorkeled and followed a sea turtle as it munched on some grass. We did the Kayaks and paddle boats. They had great conch fritters at the grill, and a nice buffet. Brought my own cup for drinks, which was nice and they gladly filled. We took a taxi there, which was $16 for the two of us, and took the bus back with was only $1.25pp and the locals on board were so nice. Bus took no longer than cab, and comes every 5-10 minutes according to the front desk staff. Highly recommend!
