Sony have been quiet on the NEX replacement of the NEX 7 - now look like a full frame replacement instead
Good 24 and 36 sensors, but not keen on the kit lens 28-70 f/3.5-5.6

Three photos from back in July 2011, in Norway, on Queen Elizabeth in Olden.
What I like about photographing in the Norway Fjords, is the greenery of the back ground instead of the usual blue, which is unusual for most cruise ship photos.

Andrew, those are great images of the two Queens. Great ships. One can certainly notice the difference in size.

Cheers Larry, for the first time, I was actually in the right place at the right time!
And so was Delboy (Beckyfaye-2008)

Hi Delboy

The photos of these two Queens coming out of Southampton on this day for me are probably my most favourites photos I have, I took quite few
It was a lovely evening in October back in 2008

It's going to be very cold for us back in the UK. :(
Being a lovely day in St Lucia today, it's now 4.20pm with the evening sun
Going to do some more night shots tonight
Also have plenty of new photos to post on the board when I'm back
Best wishes Andrew

Great shot!! What kind of camera do you have Andrew?
The pic is so clear. My camera does not take such clear shots. I think I need a new one. Thanks.
Sorry for the delay, Fuzzywuzzy, my Internet broadband and home phone has been down yet again (third time in the last two months! apparently thieves keep breaking into the small telephone exchange and pinch the copper that is used by the telecoms equipment) and I live in a lovely small village out in the countryside, to get away from these sort of people.
Anyway the Camera used was the Canon 5D. But the colours have been help using Photoshop and Lightroom. Lightroom I rate highly!
I recommend a new Camera that just been released by Canon. The Canon S90 which is the size of a compact camera, and has most of the settings of a SLR camera. I'm very please with mine, especially for my holidays, when I'm carrying my large camera and lens sometimes I feel a little unsafe.
Here's a review of the Canon S90

This shot was taken in Barbados harbour, the sun was in a great position and I managed to take quite a few different shot angles of the Queen Mary 2 bow. 18-1-08

Took this photo of the Golden Princess following us on the QM2 out of Southampton in July 2005
Took this photo of the Regal Princess leaving in the sunset from Grenada Dec 2005
Took this photo of the QM2 in St Vincent from a tender, I liked the way the smaller boat cross the bow of the QM2
Evening photo of the QM2 in Dec 2005
My personal favorite is this one, had to wait for the pathway to clear and hoped that one would appear suddenly, because it was on a tripod for about 12 seconds.
Loved some of the photos so far, keep them coming!!!!
Rumored Sony A7 and A7r full-frame mirrorless
in Photo & Camera Discussions

I'm with you on the comment, last full-size camera I'll ever own too.
I like the look of the A7 (24mb), the A7R (36mb) looks the biz, but for me, it will require more storage space (RAW files especially), more computer processing power needed. But there again when you look at photo from a 36mb camera, all that cropping power, it is great.
Choices, just so many. Best of all for me with these mirrorless cameras is the size and weight reduction, especially for travel. At times my equipment has weighed 16KG's, hand luggage for the flight. Nowadays the airlines are getting strict on the handle luggage weight.
