Came off cruise yesterday, survey in email today.

We did the British Isles cruise on Caribbean Princess in May this year. Got a very good price, if I remember rightly we booked in February. We really enjoyed the cruise and would love to do it again but I would go P & O given a choice.
Incidentally we went straight to Platinum level on Princess as our P&O points transferred over. This gave us certain perks, such as Priority boarding and 250 minutes free internet each. Shame they don't transfer the other way.

My favourite choice for a special cruise would be an Adriatic and Med Cruise. Love Venice, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Koper etc with a couple of nights in Venice.

Yes, included in soda and more package at ice cream bar. Otherwise charge was $2.50.

Forgot to say, you get lovely views from the upper deck of the bus which you wouldn't see in a car.

Have just come back from a cruise which called at Invergordon. There were taxis on the dock but we didn't use them. We took the bus number 25 to Inverness which was waiting on the high street. The cost for a day ticket was £11. You could use this within a certain area and I overheard someone saying they had gone to Loch Ness from Inverness on this ticket.
This info may not help the OP but others may be interested.

No we didn't pre arrange. Taxis were waiting on the dock. There was a queue which moved very quickly.

In Dublin, Princess charged $8 each way for the shuttle. We took a taxi which was €18.

The price of the shuttle on Princess is $8 each way in Belfast and Dublin.
In Dublin we took a taxi which was €18. Not sure how much it would have been in Belfast as we took the shuttle.
If there are more than 2 in your party, best take a taxi.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Is there any ballroom dancing on Caribbean Princess, wondering whether to pack my dance shoes?

Can you tell me what transport did you use to get to Honfleur? Bus, train, taxi?
Thanks.

Thank you for all your replies. I was going to bring my own shampoo and conditioner so on reading your comments will also bring my own shower gel.

Starting to get things together for our forthcoming cruise on Caribbean Princess.
Am wondering what toiletries are provided in the bathroom. Will be taking own shampoo but wondered if I need to pack shower gel.

Thank you to everyone for your replies. You have helped me make up my mind to get the package.

I was thinking of taking this option on our forthcoming cruise. I hardly drink alcohol, husband might have an occasional beer. Wonder what opinions others have.

We stayed at Holiday Inn by the docks in November and thought it was fine and would stay there again.
The price of £168 included breakfast and return taxi transfer.

We recently returned from Oriana and our cabin C321 was almost opposite a laundrette. I used it several times. You can use your own wasking powder, tablets etc or you can buy a pack of two tablets in the onboard shop for 60p. You need one tablet for a wash load. There are laundrettes elsewhere but I think this was the biggest one with, if i remember rightly, four washers and dryers and four ironing boards. There is also a sink for hand washing. There is no charge for using the machines and the laundrette is open from 8.00 am till 10.00pm. A wash usually takes about 40 mins. Hope this helps.

When we were in Lisbon recently after a walk around the shops we took a walk up to St George's Castle. This was not too strenuous and we took it steady. You can also go up there by tram, the number 28 goes there. There are also tuktuks there touting for business. On previous visits we gave done the hop on hop off bus and on one occasion we went to the Oceanarium. We caught a bus right outside the dock to do this. We have only done one ship's tour and that was to Sintra and Cascais. I believe it's possible to do this on your own by train, maybe someone who has done this may be able to help.

Yes, it is exactly as Louise says. Although the crew are obviously worried about the situation at home they were still as friendly and helpful as always. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

We have just returned from a lovely cruise on Braemar where the passengers raised over £8,000 from donations via their on board accounts and a raffle of a hamper by the on board shop. It's a pity that the ship was not sailing full as much more could have been raised. However, I'm sure that the lovely Filipino staff will very grateful for all donations from all four ships. Our thoughts are with them and their families.
Invergordon to Inverness Transfer
in Princess Cruises

Last year we caught the local bus. Easy. We spent our time in Inverness and were back in time to look at the murals etc in Invergordon. Two ladies on the return bus had made it to Loch Ness on the local bus. $49 seems a lot of money for Inverness on your own.
