  1. All of my cruises have had the Miami locals. I'm not following the part about only getting two games though. If cbs has the double header you should get two cbs games and one fox game.

Home markets can't air another game against the home team's game, since Miami will be on fox during 1pm kickoff, CBS Miami can not air an early game while the Dolphins are on Fox

  2. I am hoping the Steelers / Ravens game is on in the Sports bar when we board the Vista 10/1. It is a 1 PM game so we will be wandering the ship for part of the game, but I want to be able to watch for a little bit at least.

If the Vista uses the Miami local feeds There's a chance you will be able to watch this game as the Dolphins are playing at 9:30am est. in London and the Stillers - Ravens looks to be the best 1pm est. CBS game for their doubleheader, it's going to be the Miami CBS affiliates decision on what game they show and they usually don't put that out until the Monday or Tuesday before the game, however both the Jets and Bills also have 1pm CBS games and the Miami CBS might pick a game with a divisional foe over the best game.

my guess will be Miami's CBS will choose the Jags at the Jets because you have a Florida team playing a Dolphins rival and I'm sure theirs a nice amount of NYC transplants to help bolster their local rating, but just check early the week before to find out

  3. Embarkation (Cont.)

After dinner we hit casino to lose some money, then we go to the late comedy show. The comedian is Vince Morris, and he was hilarious! The late show is for adults only, and we got our money's worth. Also, a word of advice, do not sit in the front row if you have thin skin, because you will get picked on! We laughed so hard, we cried. And then we retired for the evening. Our towel animal for the night greeted us upon our return.

I was on this cruise with you and was at 1 of Vince's shows and was in the front row, my stomach was hurting some and I wasn't really laughing much at 1st because of that and he started busting my balls calling me uptight for not laughing like the others and then make some not so mentionable comments about me and my lady friend which were funny, he was really funny and even started busting my balls after the show while walking out of the theater

  4. I always get it when I can.

    * I can check in earlier and there is a separate line for FTTF

    * I can take my luggage directly to my room as soon as I board the ship

    * If I have an early flight home, I can leave the ship earlier

    * Shorter line at customer service

To me, it's worth it. I don't like standing in line or waiting any longer than I have to. Sure, I could board the ship at 2:00 pm with no line, but I would rather have been on the ship for two hours, had lunch, dropped my luggage off at my room, and be exploring the ship by then.

Yeah this is pretty much how I feel, I hate waiting around plus I rather get a head start on my vacation, I'm usually done with the excursion desk for my cabana or villa getting reserved, done with lunch, on my 2nd drink, with my bags unpacked and my fridge stocked with the carry on soda and water bought from fun shop before some people board, to me spending the couple extra hours on the ship is worth it, then you get more time at the tendered ports with the priority boarding.

It's not a something you need to have a great time but it's a nice luxury to have, it's like any other extra thing you can buy on the ship (booze, steakhouse, gambling, balcony, suite, etc..) or an excursion at a port.

My suggestion is if you're interested in the perks and not on a tight budget, get it now and see how you like it, as you've already seen you have people telling you all different things good and bad, but in the end only you will know if it's worth it or not

  5. It states all of our correct names next to each package and it will let me purchase it. So I'm just going to pay and hope there's no problems.

I just did this last week and got the same error message, there should be a box to check for whoever is getting the BB package, check just that box and like Fireman bobswife said, then check the total and it should be fine

  6. What are you going to report? Your RR that you are utilizing to smuggle booze on board developed a small leak due to a hole and you want to blame someone. You obviously have no proof of anything and you are seriously going to go in front of a Carnival employee to complain that the booze you were illegally smuggling on board leaked out [emoji23]....let's compound it and complain also that you were brilliant enough to pack electronics equipment on your checked bag when there is every warning out there to NEVER check thru electronics. You take electronics with you on carryons. The only response I could see the GS rep replying to you is a line from Forrest Gump...."Are you stupid son"? [emoji16]

No, you go to guest services and ask why are my clothes and other items soaked?

File a complaint and ask for the video to be shown of the luggage being searched

The "stupid" in this scenario is a person risking their job for no good reason

  7. PBR is far superior to Bud, Bud Light, Coors, Miller, etc. Talk about bleh.

    No Yuengling is depressing.

Yeah there's not a whole lot of difference between PBR and the usual domestics, I usually go for the miller lite if I know I'm tying one down and gonna hit double figures in servings and I'm with you on them not having Yuengling

  8. no remotely intelligent person would risk their job by damaging property, again what's more important a suitcase full of clothes or a good security job, your "friend" is a real "putz" by risking his status at work for something that has 0 effect on him, he gets the same pay either way.

your "friend" breaking the rules is no better than the booze smuggler except your "friend" has a lot more to lose by breaking his rules. but continue defending his rule breaking while insulting others who break the rules, you are the true definition of a hypocrite, have a nice night sir:)

  9. If you don't smuggle, you got nothing to worry about. I personally think it's a much more effective deterrent than just taking the rum runners. Seems many of these mooch smugglers almost expect 1 or more of the runners to get nabbed. Be honest, if your runner was found, you would get your bag and when you opened it, the RR is gone....Probably a laugh with a comment of "Dang it, they got me....next time I will be more careful". Now picture opening your bag to get ready for dinner and your clothes are soaked thru with rum. I am betting that chucklehead won't be doing any smuggling on his/her next cruise

me personally, i wouldn't smuggle booze on a ship

    Let's see

Attempt to smuggle booze onto a cruise ship with the worst that can happen is getting kicked off the ship (I have no ideal what the penalty is for getting caught)

    Or

breaking the rules at work and damaging someone's personal property with the potential of getting in trouble or losing my job at work over something that has no effect on my livelihood

who is the real "putz" in these situations?

  10. True scotch drinkers typically have their brands. They aren't mooches and say "give me the most expensive scotch you have". Someone who drinks JWR stays with JWR...Chivas drinkers drink Chivas. Etc

Sent from my iPad using Forums

why are they "mooches?" if they buy the package that's their right to buy any drink they want that's covered under that package

maybe they want to try something new or get something they might not be able to afford at home

either way there's no need for the lame insult

  11. You are lying. Plain and simple. Destruction of property, smuggled rum or not would be a crime. Not just laundering clothes. Could be damaging other items as well. It's absolutely ridiculous to suggest someone would do this and no one would notice during the scanning. Yeah they would be caught and fired. If my rum runners were cut I would definitely report it. What are they gonna do take my rum?

Yeah I'm calling BS on that too, no one is that stupid to risk their job to "teach someone a lesson"

edit - on 2nd thought there are stupid people that would, but I'm still not buying it in this case

  12. While eating at David's on the Pride, there was a woman with a very short dress standing next to the glass dome windows around the restaurant ceiling, it was windy out and her friend was taking pictures as she was holding the front of her dress down like Marilyn Monroe, well she was wearing a tiny thong and her butt was exposed to everyone down below in the steakhouse, this lead to an awkward 10 minutes or so of all the guys trying not to look up while all their dates are looking at them to see if they are staring at this woman's ass above.

Not the worst thing I saw but I figured I'll share it here
