  1. We'll be in Halifax Friday October 11th on the Emerald Princess.  After looking around for a good tour, I came across this one:

    https://halifaxtitanictours.ca/historic-halifax-tour

It sounds exceptionally thorough (except missing Peggy's Cove which is a long drive with a dozen tour buses there so I'm OK missing that).

We are the first to sign up and need a few more people for the tour.  Please consider if you'll be in Halifax that day!

  2. If I had a close friend or family member locally, with whom my pet had spent a lot of time, I might consider doing that. However, we have an aging feline companion, who is an "only child", and we have made the decision to not go on any long trips until she has crossed the "rainbow bridge." Since that time appears to becoming closer, we intend to put a deposit on the 2018 Grand Asia and/or the 2019 PC, and make a final determination by the time of final payment, depending on our pet's health. I just can't imagine leaving her with just anyone for four months. After all, she won't know if we will ever come back and will think that we have abandoned her.

Payment of bills is no problem in this digital age, but obviously a laptop or i-pad is essential. You don't want to use a public computer for payment of bills and access to financial accounts.

Obtaining multi-month supplies of prescription drugs sometimes takes a few days and your physician's confirmation as to necessity, so we plan on allowing sufficient time for that.

I tried the email link but it didn't work (for me). Any determination about your trip re. your only child crossing the rainbow bridge? We are in exactly the same spot - HAL 2019 world cruise booked. We've always gotten house sitters for shorter trips but can't afford one for a 115-day trip! And I don't want to take her to our son's house - he has young kids, a dog, and 2 cats. I am really concerned about what to do.

    Hope to hear from you.

  3. Hello, all!

I have searched and searched for information on cabin SS6117 on the Westerdam, but I have found very little information.

This cabin used to be labeled SZ, but it is now in the SS category.

We currently have it booked for an Alaska sailing, but would very much like to hear first-hand accounts from those who have sailed in this cabin. In addition, I would love to see some actual pictures of this actual cabin and balcony, if anyone has any. I have found a few of the handicapped accessible cabin on the port side, but not this exact cabin.

Thank you, in advance, for any information you might be able to provide regarding SS6117 on the Westerdam (or other Vista ship)! :)

    Happy Cruising! :)

How was SS6117 on your cruise on the vista class?
