we were there in early January and went on tour with AJ Meddy with another couple. It was fantastic. And very reasonably priced, actually I think the lowest tour price I found. Every place we went was spectacular but the highlight was Concord Falls. It was absolutely beautiful all the way around and we took the plunge jumping off the cliff. It was a very memorable experience -
If you just stay on the ferry roundtrip, what is the price. $3.50?

Do you have a favorite on the Getaway?
They are all casual. The no shorts rule doesn’t apply in the aft dining room on most of the newer ships.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am assuming the Tropicana is the nice dining room and cannot wear shorts...Are the other two casual as you can wear shorts?

It's now on both sides (O'Sheehans) and Blue Lagoon is gone
It says OSheehans is where Moderno was. So I'm curious as to what is where Blue Lagoon was since I thought that was where they would put OSheehans. -
It is far enough away from the restaurant, great seats and love the mojitos!!

We just got off the Epic and we went to the Champagne Bar and there was only a few drinks that you need to pay extra. Most were in the 12 to 14 dollar range.

Just did this on the Epic, they took my room number and it was taken off the first evening. It is onboard credit. Also go to the internet desk and get your minutes if you are in the level that get free internet minutes.
We are boarding on Saturday, pre-purchased shore excursions prior to the Feb 3 new Latitude Rewards announcement, and have been told (by phone) that we should go to the Shore Excursion desk on board to receive the credit that is now available as a Latitude member benefit. Has anyone done this and was it that easy?Was it given as on board credit - refundable or non-refundable?
Or was it credited back to the credit card used to make the purchase?
If purchased in non-US funds (CAD in our case) is it credited in same currency?

The OP is on a 7 day Gem cruise Sat-Sat. Discounted pier parking would be $210 plus $15 tunnel toll. Port Imperial parking would be $112 plus $36 in ferry fares. Either strategy would be more economical than a plan involving a pre cruise hotel. -

If you get off the ship before 10 am there should be plenty of chairs under the palm trees. We have always been able to do that as we do not lounge for a very long time and the clam shell would be a waste of money. I think you can rent them once you get there if you cannot find chairs under the trees.

We will be at GSC next week and I was wondering if there are any shady areas with loungers, perhaps under some palm trees? Is it necessary to rent clamshells in order to have shade? -
We just returned from the Epic and they have done a lot of work on the island in just one year!! They have added a taco bar which had chicken, beef, fish tacos. You add the fixings on top of them. This is separate from the regular buffet line. They have the cabanas which are further away from the main beach area and they are finishing up the ones you have posted (super fancy!!) which should be done later this year. It sure has come a long way from the first time we were here when they pulled the tender right up to the shore backwards and we walked off!! It is a super time for a beach day. They have added quite a few bar/drink areas, added more seating also for dining (covered). They have a small straw market to do some shopping.

Call NCL and they will help you, I made them and then called and they were able to book everything except Bamboo which I will do onboard. It took about 15 minutes...
