  1. We are going on the Emerald Princess soon and Dominica is one of our ports.  This excursion is showing 4.5 hours, so I’m sure that is the correct length.  As far as the departure time, I see your ship is scheduled to arrive at 7:00.  So the departure time could well be 7:30. What departure times are showing for the other tours in Dominica?

  2. Okay, I'd like to try using the app, but I need some help with undoing something I did.  As I went through the steps to validate my portfolio, I got to the page to Upload Proof of Ownership.  The choices are Take a picture, Open gallery or Open file system.  I clicked each one and Perks asked for access to my camera, my pictures or my files.  I said no to each.  I've taken a picture of my brokerage statement and would like to try again to upload that.  When I click on "Open gallery" I get an Alert that says "You've refused to allow this app to access your gallery."  Anyone know how I would change that, or is there another way on the app to upload the document?

    Thanks for your help.

  3. I’m on the Regal now.  There are so many venues with entertainment that you can’t limit it to one location.  There is no piano player in Crooners, like on most Princess ships.  There is a piano player/singer in Wheelhouse Bar most nights.  His name is Funch.  I haven’t seen him enough to comment on him.

Did your partner ever get the FCC?

Yes, he did.  We sent a third request email to Customer Relations with a copy to Collin Steinke (csteinke), who is the Director of Customer Relations.  That same night we got a call from someone in the On Board Experience Dept.  She processed the FCC with no additional documentation required from us.  We were very pleased and surprised!

  5. On a cruise in May, my partner got Covid late in the cruise.  He was told by Guest Services that he would receive FCC’s for the two days he was in isolation.  I emailed Customer Relations in June and again in July and have heard nothing except for their automated reply.  Does anyone know who/what department would be able to help with this?

    Thanks.

  6. Our experience on Ruby Princess May 7 - 17 was a little different.  Partner tested positive early on day 9 of a 10-day cruise.  Nurse came to room to check him out and test me (negative).  No little table was ever put in the hall.  We were able to order off MDR menu for our meals.  We were told he would receive FCC for the two missed days, but also have nothing to back that up.  Getting off ship was the worst part.  No one asked (or cared) what your flight time was.  We had to remain in our cabin until every other passenger was off the ship, then brought to dining room with all the other isolated passengers, and processed off from there.  Our luggage was in a different area still stacked on carts, so we had to manhandle it ourselves.  Then we were left on our own to find a cab.  The stress of worrying about missing our flight was not the greatest way to end our vacation.

  7. I agree with Italy 52's comments.  Princess usually has some special events and sometimes special foods.  Last season they had a "Wild for Alaska Seafood" promotion.  If you look on the Princess website under the news articles, you can read about it.  The article is dated March 30, 2022.  I don't know how the food was, for I didn't cruise to Alaska this year.  Perhaps someone who did will comment.  Also don't know if this will be repeated in the future.  They also have a "North to Alaska" program where they bring people on board with puppies, or demonstrating crafts, etc. Look on the Princess web site, as suggested above.

I've never seen Princess discount the excursion prices.  They often go up in price as the cruise gets closer.

  8. I know many of you have booked cruises using Future Cruise Credits from pandemic cancellations.  Are we able to purchase Princess Vacation Protection to cover the FCCs and any additional payment in the event that we need to/want to cancel?  There's something in the back of my mind from years back that makes me think if you cancel a cruise where you have used FCCs you lose them.  Please tell me this is not correct and that the FCCs work just like cash for insurance purposes (except the FCCs will go back into your account.)

Thanks in advance for your responses.

  9. For those of you who have been on Radiance recently:

How was My Time dining?  Was it difficult to get a table for 2 with no advance reservations?  I know a while back there were lots of reports of difficulties with My Time dining on many of the ships.  And with Traditional Dining (late), can you be assured of getting a table for 2 if you request that?

    TIA for your comments.

  10. Welcome back to Princess!  I hope you will enjoy your cruise.  If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest you check the "Health Protocols" section on the Princess web site.  There is a wealth of information there.  It says you will receive 100% FCC if you test positive on your pre-cruise test, but it doesn't say how long you will have to use it.  Hopefully someone else can answer that for you.

Current mask protocol is recommended but not required, but they reserve the right to require them in certain situations.

Sorry, but I can't give you any answers about the medallions/medallion app.
