  1. Can someone tell me what guiness beer is offered. I hope it’s the draught and not he extra stout . Is it from a bottle or the tall can ? Is it draft ? Thanks for any info !!!

my second question would be on the sunrise ship , where is the best bar to get a good martini ?

  2. We just booked a Bermuda cruise. It docks for 3 days. Do you guys recommend any of the paid restaurants on the sunshine. If so which one / ones ?. I remember eating at nick and norras years ago on the miracle and loved it. Is the drink package still a good value even though the ship is docked for 3 days ? Lastly is their a good martini bar on the sunshine ? Or can i typically order a martini at any bar ? Sorry for the newb questions. I haven’t sailed in years. Oh one last question. Are the entertainment shows at night something that must be reserved or is it first come first serve. If it does need to be booked am I supposed to do it before the cruise or while on he cruise ? Thanks guys

  3. The OP seems to be referring to purchasing the UBP, not getting it as a promo.

If that is the case then it isn’t even close to being worth it.

If you will have to drop another promo in order to get the UBP then you will need to add the savings from that promo to the gratuity paid on the package to decide how much the UBP would effectively cost as a promo. My guess is that 5 drinks a
day wouldn’t be worth it, and you may as well pay for the drinks as you go.

Yea that’s what I meant. I would have to purchase the package . We always use the kids sail free promotion.

  4. I drink about 5 martinis a day but my wife does not drink any alcohol. She just drinks the free water from the buffet area and dining room . I would have to buy the drink package because we usually do the kids sail free promo. Would it be cheaper to pay for the martinis each day or get the package for both of us even if she don’t drink . Thanks in advance

  5. The lemon drop martini is not lemoncello. It’s vodka ,lemon juice , simple syrup for the person asking. I haven’t cruised in a while . I’m surprised theirs no more roaming waiters. Not a big deal to me though. But so basically it sounds like I’ll have no trouble finding martinis on the ship. I asked because I know it’s in a different style glass. I wasn’t sure it that was a issue. Thanks for all the helpful responses

  6. Sorry this happened to you and I know how frustrating that can be. With NCL, you are often times better booking last minute if your travel schedule allows. Their pricing model is quite different than other cruise lines. They artificially inflate prices to levels where they can't sell out the ship, then drastically reduce prices in the penalty period. If you aren't able to book last minute and want a good deal, it is probably not a good idea to book with NCL. As more people figure out their scheme and have the same experience as you, early bookings at their inflated rates will decline, forcing them to adjust prices downward or sail with empty cabins. And as unhappy consumers share their negative experience, people will take their business to a different cruise line.

If a cruise departs Jan 1st for example how long will they still take bookings before the sail date? Like when is the cut off ? Just wondering for my next cruise

  7. Im thinking of getting the package on my next cruise. The thing is I only like one drink and it’s called a lemon drop martini. Would the people walking around the pool deck that ask you if you want a drink be able to get me one ? and/or the waiters in the dining room be able to get me a martini? Or can I only get this drink from a special bar that makes martinis? Sorry if this queries ridiculous but I’d really like to know

  8. I’ll add the solarium is a really nice spot to grab breakfast. You can sit anywhere in or outside ( which is technically still inside) . Youll see what I mean . It’s a no kid zone though.

The main dining room food was very good. The service I mentioned from the waiter was fast. Food was warm to hot every time. And was good. Good selections.

The queen show is definitely worth watching. I don’t wanna spoil anything just watch it !!!!!

  9. I thought the ship was really nice. I had an inside with virtual balcony. The bathroom shower was glass sliding door and spacey enough. The ship always had something to do. The kids program was top notch. The crew was the best I’ve ever encountered. This was my first time on royal. I sailed plenty times on ncl and carnival. If this is the norm or not or did I get lucky. It was literally every worker you encountered was out of their way nice. Really made the cruise . My only negative on the ship for me was the buffet food. It was a 5 day cruise to Bermuda and the buffet never changed much. I couldn’t really find anything I liked most times. Ncl and carnival win here ( buffet) in my opinion except for 1 exception. If your a healthy eater or vegetarian you’ll love the royal buffet. It had so much fresh fruit and vegetables. It had nice looking fruit Kebobs and other creative fruit things. Also their was a Indian section that had vegetarian dishes that. May interest you. So if that’s your thing your in. Main dining room Juan Carlos and his assistant Sherlock are top notch

  10. Can someone please tell me about the coffee . My mom is coming and keeps asking about coffee. Any info would be nice

    1. Is their coffee makers inside ( inside cabins )

    2. Is their room service for coffee if so is their a charge ?

    3. Specialty coffee shops on anthem ?

Questions 2 and 3 don't really matter if she'll have a coffee maker inside her cabin.

Last question is.... is their a shuttle in the parking area where we would leave our car for the week. She's worried about walking too far with the luggage. She has bad knees

    Thanks guys
