Anyone been in cabin # 8046--N-1--on the Journey?  I am trying to pack for our cruise and wonder how many drawers are in the dresser? Is there enough closet space?

    Thank you,

    Evelyn

I don't think you will have an issue There is drawers on the dressing table. A draw either side of the bed in the bedside tables. From Memory about 3 drawers and 2 shelves in the Wardrobe and plenty of hanging space.

  2. not like the balcony suites on level 6.midship.Shower was so very small about 2ft X3ft ar best with no room th turn around and a plastic curtain. Not a good look for a luvurt ship

    Cabin No.: 8049

    Ship: Pursuit

    Month/Year sailed: Nov 2018

Would you choose this room again? Yes

Is noise an issue: Less than we expected, the occasional scraping of chairs from the Patio but it was not bothersome.

Balcony size: Larger about 50% wider than a regular balcony

Any other comment: Shower only, no tub. Great mid ship location.

How large was the shower cubicle?.

  4. Ritza if you got rid of the shower curtain there would be water everywhere.

On all the small size cruise ships I have travelled on this is the worse design of all in any upmarket fleet for size.

You are right Tom47 we maybe flogging a dead horse because on this forum everyone seems to just love Azamara with it's minute shower cubicles and all.

I for one have booked on Regent Seven Seas Voyager for next year so will be able to report back on their bathroom too.

  5. It is very interesting to read the comments on this thread regarding  the cabins but nobody has mentioned how small the shower cubicles are in the staterooms along with the plastic curtain. On an upmarket promoted cruise ship you would think that there would be some comments on this feature in ALL Azamara cruise ships but hey Not one.

Is everyone that goes on these cruises wafer thing or am I missing something on this thread?.

  6. I don't understand what difference a "shower screen door" (whatever that is) would have made for the situation you described. The shower would still be the same size, so if you had to "back out" to pick up the soap, you would have had to open the "shower screen door" (again, whatever that is) before backing out to get the soap.

The angst here on the part of a few over something as trivial as the shower size continues to baffle. Someone now even "hates" it! Remarkable.

The comment was made in the context that the cruise line claims a luxury cruise status and having a shower that small and a plastic screen is by no means indicating a luxury status. I have been on many cruise ships before and all have had larger shower recesses and screen doors

  7. Stateroom Number - 7061

    Ship - Journey

    Month/Year sailed - July 24th 2018

Would you choose this room again Y/N -Yes. Close to the Laundry on the other side of the ship

Is noise an issue Y/N - No. None at all.

Balcony size Normal/Larger/Smaller - Normal. Starboard side, As it is where the ship joins so there is a sold Metal sheet on one side giving complete privacy. Other side has a interconnecting glass door like all others.

Any other comments - The room is a good size but the shower area is not if you drop the soap you have to pull back the fabric(lets call it plastic screen curtain) and back out to pick it up. For a claimed luxury cruise ship I think this is not right. Should have been a shower screen door.
