I agree! There were negatives but I had a good time because I was with my family so you know I can’t say oh I was miserable because that’s not true. But I like giving an honest picture on the review just so people know what to expect. We were very surprised about turn down service and that they didn’t give tissues. I actually had to clarify tissues for the nose because they thought toilet paper. I feel like because this ship is new to the Brooklyn area the reviews are less and of course it’s going to be different all the time.

I actually have my daily planners in my bag and I believe it’s in there so I can check for you tomorrow!

    Hello,

sorry to be so annoying, but did you have a chance to check the daily planners for the internet "browse" package price? I'm still thinking that buying on board is cheaper than buying before through their website.  I'm not sure if i need it - never got one before, managed to be on "real vacation" 🙂 - no news, no communication whatsoever. Now, on the first after-pandemic cruise, all of a sudden I'm thinking about it)).

    thank you,

Just off the MSC Meraviglia this am. Wrote a whole review if you want some info! 🙂

Thank you! Very detailed review. Was surprised to read about not turning down cabin and necessity to ask for things.. well, my cruise is booked, so “whatever will be, will be”.  Glad I can bring my straightener on board! And if we’ll experience all those negative things you did - it’s still be better than routine at home - working and cooking))). I understand the internet package was included in the price. By any chance, do you know how much is “browse package “ per day if you buy it on the ship?

  3. Booked a cruise on Meraviglia from NY and looking for "travel information" on their website I saw "hair iron" restriction to bring((..  This is my 12 cruise and on every line/ship I was allowed to bring it in (although maybe I was just lucky?)).  I know about clothing iron and never bring a hair dryer (sometime ship's dryer is horrible) and other hot/flammable things, but without my tiny (it is actually mini iron) it would be bad..  Any experience on that recently?..

  4. Hello,

Great review! found a lot of helpful information.  will be on the ship in September. Did you buy any Wifi package? Someone told me that buying on their website is cheaper than onboard, but there is no way to check.  On web it's $96 per device for Browse package, so is it already discounted?

    Thank you,

I was on the Meraviglia in May. I was able to use either my tablet or my phone with the one device package. I just logged our of one and on the other one.

    Hello,

i just read one review on MSC but different ship that they were not able to swap between phone and tablet.. i guess i'll find out for myself)).  Do you have iOs or Android?  And do you know the price if to buy onboard? on their website it's around $96 per device for Browse package.  Thank you,

Go to the box office at the ship's theater when you board.  Sign up for any shows or activities that require reservations (including comedy shows and the escape room, if you wish).  Save the paper receipt with your reservations in case they mess up on the computer system.

Will do!  Tried to call NCL for some other staff, waited for-EVER! so, will be booking onboard.  Thank you!

If you plan on specialty dining I would try and make those reservations as well. If they are all filled do it when you get on board, they only open a small number of reservations prior to boarding.

Right. I'll play it by ear on the ship.  If it's not available - no biggie, plenty of food..  I'm more interested in entertainment or other activities on the ship - last year on Anthem of the Sea we needed to book Sky diving and North Star as well as evening shows. But thank you for your response.

  8. Hello,

Over the time i saw here some mentioning about entertainment booking on Escape... So i booked After Midnight show online.  Everything else is unavailable to book online.  It would be my first time on Escape, so, having too much to learn/see/find out about the ship upon boarding - any suggestions from experienced or just recent "escapers" - where to run first?)) What to book upon embarkation so it would be out of the way? Or something else we need to know to do first thing on the ship? Thank you.

  9. Hello,

Going to Bermuda in October for the third time. Loved Tobacco Bay beach (planning to go), love King's Wharf shopping (probably on last half day), love to walk beautiful streets of Hamilton. We walked around Front street until King Street on one side and Par-La-Ville Rd on the other. Walked up to Queen Elizabeth Park then on Reid street. In short, back and forth through the tourist's center.  What else is there to see, especially if weather will not permit to tan/swim?  No tours, just observing/shopping (where residents shop))).  Which side to go, left or right from the Ferry terminal?

We got back today on Carnival and the weather was beautiful when we were here on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Had a wonderful time.  Capris and short sleeves.   Lots of people in shorts and tank tops.

Thank  you. I'm here already. It's 72 degrees,  cloudy and very windy. Hopefully tomorrow will be less windy. Went for a walk to the beach, but without sun and with wind, we just walked around.

I am not trying to be judgemental, but knowing the importance of a passport on an international trip and there being very little time for this man to get it back, why are you waiting until “tomorrow or Monday”? Wouldn’t it simply be easiest to bring it into the pier and give it to a NCL representative?

All indications are, the person who lost it, was leaving the ship,  not boarding. Person, who found is 80 y.o., told us later, on the highway,  so.. I understand,  it's not ideal,  but I was hoping someone knows someone.. before I give it to cops or mail it whenever.. Does anyone know if he will be contacted or it just security measures,  so a passport wouldn't land in a wrong hands?.. I'll call NCL, maybe they can help, feel sorry for the guy.

  12. We were picking up my parents from that ship tonight and found a passport on the street. Poor man lost it after all he is been trough.. Very common name, William Martinez.. I guess from NY. Is there a chance,  someone from their party is reading this..  I'll turn it in to the authorities tomorrow or Monday,  meanwhile maybe someone does know him here...

  13. Thank you, Neilkear for your posts!!  My parents are on this cruise there is no much information about what's going on and when is the arrival time. I expect them to call once they will get service - that was the agreement)).  As of right now, you are passing by Berkeley Township, NJ.  I hope despite all this all of you had a good time and welcome home!
