  1. I think restrictions should have more to do with health than age. I’m 48 perfectly healthy, and take no prescriptions. I know plenty of people younger than me in poor health with co-morbidities that would be more adversely affected by the virus. I also know people older (my mom) who are in perfect health. Health is, however, harder to prove than age.

  2. Here in Iowa the numbers keep going down. The only person I personally know that got it is my 92 year old grandpa in a memory care facility where he has been isolated since the beginning. He only has contact with masked nurses, bathed in hand sanitizer. Me, I’ve been traveling all over, shopping at stores, getting together with medium to large groups, and hugging my friends, all sans mask. I gave blood the other day and they tested it, no COVID-19. Grandpa is fine BTW, completely asymptomatic.

  3. Sorry to hijack this thread, but IslandStar, it seems you live in Grenada? We are coming for our first time in January 2020. Any other must do’s there? The Chocolate factory and coffee sound perfect to me.... and I definitely want to pick up some nutmegs and a spice necklace. We like snorkeling, adventure, tours, walking, whatever....

  4. In general, people just need to pay closer attention to their surroundings. Some people seem completely oblivious. People on scooters especially. I have been run into/over so many times on a cruise! Also when lined up for an event, show, dinner, whatever, if other people have been patiently waiting, don’t come out of the elevator and expect to be first in line just because you are on a scooter 🤦🏻‍♀️. This happened SO may times on our Journeys cruise, and let me tell you there are a LOT of scooters on those!

  5. I downsize farther every cruise we take. We just did a 13 day in January with one carry on suitcase and a backpack each and that’s bringing our own snorkel gear. Yes we had formal night clothing also. There are tons of pack light videos and blogs out there with tons of tips. I especially like Adventures with Sarah. Some things that have worked for me are packing cubes and solid toiletries from Lush. The Eagle Creek packing folder held my husband’s suit 2 dress shirts, 6 polos, and 2 pair of dress pants with no wrinkles. I don’t buy anything that wrinkles. Mixing and matching makes for a lot of outfits.

  6. I’m in my early 40’s and I love the MDR! I’m not a fan of buffets and I can get pizza and burgers at home. We were on a 13 day Journeys cruise in January and had a table of 5 couples who had never met before. Various  ages 40s-80s, and we all got on so well, no one made/kept  any specialty dining reservations so we could all eat together every night. We also had the most amazing service team! Did we wait long sometimes? Yes, but ya roll with the punches, we’re on vacation!

  7. I have been on several missions trips, and so, I have quite a few more stamps in my passport than my husband. He loves to get vanity stamps in his when we go on a cruise. Some places are happy to oblige, some will not. His passport expires in two years, and he’ll have to get a new one. He’s obviously not going to fill it up to the point of not being able to find an empty page. The people asking about stamps here are most likely in the same boat (pardon the pun 😂) No need to shame someone for wanting vanity stamps if that’s what they want. Not everyone has the same life, that would be boring. The OP was simply asking which ports will stamp. If I remember right, St. Tomas, Aruba, Curaçao,  and even San Juan Puerto Rico did (🙄Yes, I know, part of the US. But Hubby wanted it, and after a polite explanation from me in Spanish, they were happy to oblige.) Don’t judge, just travel your own journey. ❤️🌎
