When you first book your cruise you can select MTD or Traditional Dining. Once you select MTD and you book your cruise, you can reserve times on the app or on the website. Choose dining (like you would select specialty) and you select Main Dining Room and it'll give you the option for My Time Dining.

Here is a helpful post on it as well: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/02/28/how-book-my-time-dining-royal-caribbean

Can we reserve on ship. Only time on app is 8pm. Will they have more availability on ship?

and yes, you can book everything (shows, dining, spa, etc...) online on the website or on the app. I did all my reservations online, I didn't have to speak with anyone.

We do MTD at all the cruises we've been to... I usually plan around the shows. So if we have a show at 9pm or 10pm, we usually reserve a time that works for that so like 6-7pm... gives us plenty of time to eat slowly and enjoy dinner. I recommend making the MTD dining reservations as soon as you can so you can get good times. When you get to the MDR (there's a deck just for MTD), there is usually 2 lines, one for people with reservations and another with people without. Yes you can still eat in the MDR if you don't have a reservation but sometimes it takes a while for them to seat you. Keep in mind, sometimes you'll see the line for people with reservations is longer than the ones without but keep in mind the line with reservations will move pretty quickly. We just got off the Odyssey and I had MTD with reservations and even though the line was pretty long, we didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes to get seated. As opposed to those without a reservation ,they were waiting 15, 20 sometimes 30 mins. We love MTD because if gives us the flexibility to eat when we want to. IF we are in port, and we have to be back by 5pm, we don't have to rush to eat at 6pm. We just choose a time that is later, like 7-8pm... it just gives you the freedom to choose your own time so you can shower and get ready and not rush, especially on port days or days you have shows. But I do recommend making your MTD reservations early because times to sell out and then you have to make the no reservations line.

  3. Hello. We are on Wonder in June. Wanted to know some good tours to go on. We are adventurous people. Also any local food restaurant recommendations.

  4. Hello to all. Looking for advice. We just booked this cruise for June 2nd. We have never done my time dining. How does it work?  How do we reserve show times? Are they on the app or where do we go when we get on board to book the shows? When are good times to do the slides and zip lines? Any reservations needed? Also any suggestions for Honduras and Costa Maya. Thank you so much.

Hubby and I recently did a last minute VV also, and we had 4:15p boarding and all dinner reservations were already booked up.  Did you use a TA?  If so, I would ask them to try and book some dinner reservations for you.  My TA was able to book us into dinner each night even though the app was showing nothing for me.

She also advised that even with our late boarding time, so show up around 3p because usually by then you'll be able to board regardless of your scheduled time.  We didn't show up until around 3:30, but she was right, we were able to walk right on at that time.

Once we boarded, we immediately sat down and were able to book shows and move our dining times around, and we even were able to still book the Grog Walk by then.  Many more dining times open up onboard and we were able to get into every restaurant we wanted at the time we wanted just by taking a few minutes upon boarding to get it all situated.  I was actually shocked at how much was still available that late in the day.

    Good luck!

Any recommendations on what restaurants to focus on eating at? How is the test kitchen? Any specific shows to see? Thank you.

  6. Hello. First time on Virgin. Just booked cruise last week. We leave next Friday. Nothing available to book on app for dinner or shows. Where can we go to book both of these things onboard. Should my husband go book dinners and me the shows? Will they let you on earlier than board time? We have a late board time 4:00. I hope things will be available, will they still be available that late? What places to eat are good and must see shows. Sorry for all the questions. Thank you so much for any advice.

  7. Never been on virgin cruises. I know on royal if you show up before your time given they let you on. I feel 4:30 is late to be on a cruise. When do they usually allow people on board? Can you come before your board time?

  8. Hello going on Odyssey next year. What do people use to get to the Rome airport after the cruise. Our flight leaves around 11ish. What is the soonest time off ship. Any advice, names and numbers. Thanks.

  9. Hello. Did not book an excursion for either port. Are there people in either place that offer bike tours when we get off. Or is there any good restaurants for paella and tapas in either place and of course sangria. Any suggestions on what to do in either port appreciated

    thanks

  10. Hello. We are going on odyssey end of April. We have early seating at 5pm how late can you be? I always thought early was 6pm. I would also like to know pro and cons of my time dining. My kids hated it on last cruise they went on they said line for the wait to get in was so long. Can you reserve a specific time would you still have to wait thank you all.

  11. Hello we are on Odyssey of the seas for a transatlantic starting April 22. I would like info on tours and who you hired in a few ports. Malaga, and Alicante. Also can you just get off ship and book something there. Any good tapas places and sangria. Thanks

We have booked RomeInLimo for all three of our Italy stops - and everything I have read about them has been top-notch. They have suggested that we use a private guide on our tour of the Vatican at a cost of 150 Euros. Just wondering if anyone has used the private guide provided/suggested by RomeInLimo and either glad they did or thought it was a waste of money. Perhaps others have used private guides through other tour services as well - perhaps they can comment on this question as well.

Our last trip to Italy both cruise and post cruise was fabulous, and Rome in Limo made it happen. We booked with Jany for day tours in Florence, Positano, Rome, Assisi, countryside, Pisa, and every day was perfect. We customized and were able to see so much more than big group tours, it's impossible to explain until you experience them for yourself. The reason we booked with Rome in Limo was because we have used them for as long as they have been in business, and their professionalism, customer service and attention to detail is exactly what we want and need when traveling, and has been consistent for all these years. We also have been with Rome in Limo in Sicily. That was also a great day trip. Even in Rome, our latest trip was a new adventure because Rome in Limo made sure we saw so many new aspects of Rome than our previous tour 2 years before. We are booked for 'Roots Tours' on our upcoming trip and will post about that soon.

Hi just curious does this tour group also do Venice and naples
