Unless you love being around other peoples children I'd stay away from Disney. I hated my solo cruise on Princess and was treated horribly by the staff. Have loved solos on Celebrity and Azamara.
Did you find deals on Celebrity for a solo? I love Celebrity, but have only sailed it with my husband who passed away 2 years ago. I am looking for venturing out by myself also.

This was very helpful thank you. Much different from Celebrity.

I normally cruise with Celebrity. I have friends who like Carnival and want me to join them on a cruise. Can you help me with some questions? Like do they offer a drink package? If so what is alcohol and non alcohol pricing? How about pricing for internet?
Thanks!

I am seeking recommendations for a travel converter and adapter for use in France, Ireland, and Netherlands. I need to be able to charge laptop, tablet and phone.
Thanks!

I use 1 gallon, 2 gallon and 2.5 gallon ZIP Lock bags. They keep clothes flat and prevent wrinkles. They also do not crinkle clothing when bag is checked in security. Helps with bringing home dirty clothing because they are separate from clean clothing. If you pack outfits together it saves room in your cabin. Very inexpensive and they fit your clothing. They also have larger zip locks but I have never had to use them. I travel a lot for business and I have used this for years!!!

Thank you to everyone. I didn't see another thread on insurance and I appreciate your comments and advice.

I have Medicare and Federal BC/BS as my secondary insurance. I consider us very lucky until we travel outside the US where we have no health benefits. I also wanted any reason to cancel insurance. I called insuremytrip.com and was delighted with their advice. They took the time to explain everything to me, not just to sell me something.

Thank you so much for this advice.

My travel partner only has medicare insurance. We are cruising outside the US. Medicare does not cover this. Any recommendations for insurance. When I check the normal suppliers they all say medical is secondary.

I made an 11 AM with no problem at all.

We bring a small California Scents. We like Coronado Cherry but there are lots of scents. They only cost a few dollars. It is a solid in a very small can (1/3 of the size of a small tuna can). You pop the top open (a pull tab) and the whole cabin will smell wonderful and the hallway too. My cabin Stewarts always ask about it. They say there passengers are asking about the wonderful smell.

You are welcome. One other point I remembered - if you book through Choice Air, they collect information about your FF number, KTN, maybe passport information etc., but I found that none of that transfers over to the UA site. You should go to UA and enter your FF & KTN numbers and whatever else may be missing.
Good point. Being proactive is always better than reactive on the backside.

Toll Free Phone: 800-533-7803 - for Celebrity and Azamara
You will get FF benefits, but the formula UA uses to award mileage is not the same as what you are used to = Cost of ticket x a multiplier. If you book through Choice Air, UA will have no idea what you paid for your ticket (and you will not know how much Choice Air paid to UA for the ticket). The Mileage Plus web site has some information related to mileage awards for "opaque" or "Bulk" fare tickets. I do not recall the specifics.
Thank you. This is very helpful.

OK. I have a few questions I hope folks can help with.
1. What is the phone number for OneChoice?
2. I am a United Priority 1K member. I want to fly United and receive my qualifying miles and qualifying dollars toward my premier status. Will a ticket through One Choice give me these?
Thanks!

How do I get more information on this?

What is the cost for the Fun Factory?

Just a question..... are all Concierge Cabins on S Class Ships Unobstructed View?
Just curious because an Unobstructed Veranda is the same price as any any Concierge cabin. I was trying to determine which way would be best to go.

while i know we are not allowed to name ta's we've always used one who often is sponsoring x cruises on the cruise critic website's weekly 25 best cruise deal emails. If you check those out you'll find them. Sometimes they even sponsor the whole email. The one we use is open on sat., not sunday, but when you are travelling, they do have contact number for day of travel problems.
thnak you

We are not allowed to recommend specific travel agencies on Cruise Critic.
Some general printers would be to talk to friends and family and to check the BBB in your town to make sure there are no long-term problems with an agency.
Thanks. I understood that folks couldn't recommend actual agents. I was hoping for things like what to look for..... what questions to ask..... LOL what answers they should have...... what makes one agent good and another not so much. That sort of thing.

I would love some pointers on finding a good and reliable agent that specializes in cruises.
I just bought trip insurance!

I buy a yearly insurance policy that covers all my travel. Cheaper in the long run.
