  1. We had a cruise booked for September 2021 which we cannot travel on because Australia is keeping all its citizens prisoner.  So, reluctantly I cancelled it on 13th May.  Lassie on the phone told me I would be getting an FCC for the deposit, which I did wonder about because we were outside of penalty and I thought those should be refunded.  However didn't want to argue.  To my surprise and joy I found a refund of the deposit in my credit card this morning, only 7 days after cancellation.

    This is a complete turnaround from the shambles we went through last year with getting refunds from Princess - who we will never deal with again.  They could learn a lot from other lines it seems.

    • Full refunds must be paid within 60 days following a passenger refund request for voyages that are cancelled or delayed more than 24 hours for any reason other than governmental order or regulation;
    • Sailings cancelled due to government order or regulations must be refunded within 180 days following a passenger request.
    • Consumers cancelling as a result of a public health emergency when their selected sailing is still set to embark on schedule will have to provide Future Cruise Credit equal to the consumer's amount of deposit.
    So any cancelled due to the CDC directive would have up to 180 days to be refunded according to this proposal.

    I think every one of the contributors to this forum should email the Federal Maritime and tell them to stuff this proposal.  It will just give Princess and others an excuse to delay refunds even further.

  3. Our cruise was cancelled backmin May by our TA who made it very clear we wanted a refund.  Despite this both my account and my husbands suddenly showed  up an unwanted FCC last weekend.  TA called and was told ohbyes this does show a refund request, will follow up.  Since then nothing and still showing FCC.  Add to that a note on the FCC screen that not all of them can be combined and or used on all cruises.  Totally sick of these jokers.

  4. Wecwere due to sail 16th May on Crown and realising that was not going to happen rebooked for 21st september on Island then Princess cancelled that too.  Has anyone received any communication or refunds on either of these.  My TA requested refund 18 May.  No response re excursions we had booked for first cruise so put in CC dispute for those and got that settled.  As we paid Princess through TA cannot lodge cc dispute for the 20k we are still owed.

  5. Clearly Princess doesnt give a rats about their customers or their reputation or their future.  If any of their senior management are reading these comments and letting the situation continue they should be ashamed of themselves.  I will be one of many who will never have anything to do with them ever again.  I only wish I had paid them direct so I could put a card dispute in.

  6. We were duevtovvsail in May but that became impossible becausen of travel bans so Princess encouraged to rebook for later in this year, now theyve cancelled that too.  Am getting nowhere with a refund.  Do not want fcc as they have proved how greedy and uncaring they really are.  Will never travel with them in the future.  All this tosh about how difficult things are for them cuts no ice with me when they are sitting deliberately on 22k of my hard earned money.

  7. Booked cruise 5 months ago.  5 weeks ago advised cruise cancelled for "operational" reasons.  Offered 10% off another cruise provided we book within 7 DAYS or an immediate refund.  Took 5 weeks and much nagging to get the refund.  Will never consider travelling with this outfit again under any circunstances.
