Good luck on viewing the Saturday night game Dolphins vs. Chiefs as it is only being shown on Peacock(a streaming outlet).  This will be the first ever NFL playoff game where one has to pay to watch it.

On Beyond in November, they showed the Thursday night game that streamed on Amazon Prime. So it's possible they could show a game from another paid streaming service.

I usually have a paperback book with me I'll lay out and maybe add reading glasses to if I get up to get something else in the buffet.

Its finding a seat I find hard. All the couples, one often runs and looks for a table while the other fills a plate. I've often wished I had another person to run ahead and find a open table. I've mostly been doing rcl, with DP340 25% off it's usually the best priced for me. And the buffet can be jammed at boarding and on sea days. I've skipped their mexican place because it's so hard to find a table. Nothing terrible but I notice.

I bring a little fold up basket that I use to carry around a water bottle and my sewing things that I will leave on a table before I get my food. But often for breakfast I will just take it back to my room if the buffet is busy. That is the hardest thing, I would agree, about being a solo - tables in the buffet.

Do I understand that Celebrity now has done away with the traditional seating? Can we just walk up and get a table for two in one of the four MDR's? We don't mind waiting for a drink as long as we have been acknowledged. Oasis was a prime example. Beautiful ship but the service was nonexistent. They would make eye contact and continue to talk amongst themselves in every bar. We had to get our own drinks the entire week and even then they acted like you were bothering them. We just tried our first NCL cruise last month and the service and the staff were exceptional. The ship, good, but not the WOW we were looking for.

I just spent 2 weeks on Beyond, and never waited for a 2-top in any of the main dining rooms. Walked up and was sat immediately every time. And in the same wait team's section, as well.

I highly recommend Rooftop Grill if you are interested in specialty dining. I went back there an extra time, it was excellent.

How did you redeem this so you weren't charged?  We prepaid as well.

I got a card with my excursion tickets. On the laundry form, I filled out how many of each thing I had and then put the laundry card and the form both inside the bag and left it for my stateroom attendant. Worked fine!

  5. I have spent overnights in San Francisco, and some people did sleep off the ship. You just needed to be back before the departure time the next day.

Rules could be different outside of the US, so I would ask before staying overnight off the ship.

  6. I have been to Alaska on Millie out of Vancouver, and also out of Seattle on RCCL. I have another Alaskan cruise booked for next year and I chose Solstice. I love the Sky Lounge (even with a veranda room), and I would rather sail out of Vancouver.

So I would recommend Solstice over Edge.
