Pre-cruise Hotel:
We drove to Titusville the day before and stayed at Quality Inn Kennedy Space Center. There is a steakhouse right next door and lots of restaurants in the surrounding area. It was about a 30 minute drive from there to Port Parking Space in Port Canaveral.

No worries if /when they are in the hot tub or pool---
Ever notice how long "old farts " stay in the hot tub /pool without etc etc ???
The new urine alarms should help. All being added at next dry dock.

New urine alarms are being installed on next scheduled dry docks. This should help out , Royal is seeing good results on there new installs. Quite embarrassing when only two people in hot tub.

Here's info we received from Renaissance Hotel & Casino:
"We do offer beach passes. The price for non-residents is US$ 40 p.p. which includes access to the beach between 10am-6pm, and a food and beverage credit of US$ 20 to be used at the Infinity Beach Club. As space is limited we require to make reservations. For reservations please email dbacuna@curacaorenaissance.com. Not sure when in December you will be on island but during from December 15 -January 7, we do not sell beach passes."
Resorts for a Day is another avenue for booking hotels/resorts for a day. We are looking at Courtyard by Marriott Curacao through Resorts for a Day. It offers a $50 food & beverage credit and is $90 pp.

Trying to decide between a SV or a E1 on upcoming Beyond cruise. Any help would be appreciated. We usually sail on S and M class.

Wonder how the new installation of the Urine alarms will be received.

Not sure about Labadee, the comedian later described it as Fake Haiti however Celebrity did a sterling job finding us a stop at short notice instead of another sea day.
I wanted to go on the zipwire but with our UK £ on the floor against other countries currencies couldn't justify paying over £100 for the privilege.
Labadee has also replaced Cartagena as the place we've had the most hassle to buy things we don't want and our guy who lugged a couple of beach chairs down to the waters edge for us was not happy with his two buck tip, not sure what others were giving them, think he wanted $10. I was more than happy to get my own chair but the guy simply wouldn't let me.
I saw very little tipping even when six chairs had to be moved to waters edge. Labadee was a pleasant change except for people wanting wifi and phone service in Key West.

Perhaps they could divide the MDR in two. Those who wish to comply with the dress code sit on one side in civilized company and those who prefer riff raff, Bubba Class, or Bilge class behavior and attire on the other. Everybody is happy and no one needs to infringe on the other. No judgement. Just choose.
I guess I know what side I would have to sit in.

Ha ha, you get in a hot tub and you are all sharing everything, that’s why we would never go within a mile of one.
Urine alarms are being installed on the hot tubs during dry dock, pools well be next.

Just a question for those that have sailed on the Equinox and the Reflection recently. We found the Reflection not to be any where near as crowded. Is it just us? The Equinox was packed. I mean packed. Maybe the Reflection was not sailing full.
The Reflection has more capacity, under normal circumstances it will be more crowded.

We are going to do the golf carts in September. Got a lot of information reading many reviews on Trip Advisor.

Here's what happened on the Star Princess one week after we were on it and they think a cigarette caused this fire.

On other ships, when the attendants leave the towel station, the towels are either removed or locked up.
That was the case on the past December 4 sailing of the Serenade.
-
Hi! Did you notice if the Serenade has the Freestyle Coca Cola machines in the Windjammer or elsewhere on board for those who purchase the soda package? Also, did you try the Rita's Cantina?
Thanks! We are sailing in less than 90 days and are super excited! :o)
No Freestyle and Rita's was empty the times I went thru there, was on the same cruise.

Hey Mogens! I wonder if you could check what the onboard price for the deluxe package is! Going on december 4th myself, and trying to decide wether i should buy it online at a 20% discount or wait until onboard and get my 30% D+ discount. Been rumors about some ships and sailings advertising a price higher than the usually advertised 55USD+18% grats, so hope you can help me :)
God tur (Safe travels)!
We will be on the Serenade Dec. 4th. Here's a link to our roll call, come join us: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2358840
In another post on the roll call there is a link to register for RCI's Meet & Mingle. You may want to register for that. We do not have an informal meet and greet scheduled yet.
