We received our final documents and have been able to locate the street corner in Callao where we’re expected to report…

I’d like to know a more detailed address of the port, as it’s hard like this to book a transfer….or order an Uber from the hotel to port. I tried to figure out through google earth and maps, but it looks like it can be anywhere around Callao port.

We’re booked on Silver Galapagos and I’m wondering about the snorkel gear they provide.

Do they provide dry snorkels that prevent water getting in when diving a little, or just regular snorkels without a water-stop?

Has anyone tried (as Gold or up) to select the same benefit twice. Instead of two different Gold benefits, I would prefer to select the Internet package twice. Does anyone have any experience with that?

We're meant to board Odyssey this Saturday in Istanbul........

We received a generic email and a phone call. We also hang on to our original arrangements to Kiel and Cunard promised that they will arrange accommodation and someone will be at the station to advise us.

Our return flight out of Southampton is a bit more of a nightmare and due to some uncertainty about timings we haven't been able to rebook......

Really looking forward to see how well (or bad) Cunard will manage this situation......imagine it's hard for them

Unfortunately there was another bombing in Istanbul this morning! Terrible for the victims and their relatives.

I can imagine that Seabourn (or any other line that still stops in Istanbul) is closely looking at this situation again. Our cruise leaves in 3,5 weeks from Istanbul and I keep my fingers crossed they're not making any changes.

Have just looked at alternative flights to and hotels in Athens, in case they decide to move, and everything seems to go at a premium there. This would turn out to be a very costly logistical nightmare for us. We've planned 2 nights in Istanbul without lots of sightseeing, as we've been several times before and really don't mind to relax at the pool for a day.

When I read the dress code on the Cunard site, I must have missed that their mentioned 'dark suit' is considered unkempt......

Anyway, I do appreciate the helpful responses! Thank you for that! The idea is to take both ensembles and from the comments I take that they'd both be considered 'acceptable'.

How does the Verandah compare to the Grills? Is that also a worthwhile difference or would you stay in the Grill?

I can't seem to book the Verandah for lunch online? Is that normal and only possible to book lunches once we've boarded the QE?

I don't have a tux or a black suit, so I want to get some opinions on the 'dark suit' definitions to help me establishing, whether I can work with what I have for the formal nights or not. I don't mind dressing up, but also wouldn't mind not having to go out shopping for more, if there's appropriate options in my closet.

I've got two options for your opinions:

1) a dark grey (business) suit, white shirt and tie

2) a black (not sports) velvet jacket, dark grey slacks, white shirt and tie

Would either of these combinations be appropriate as 'formal'?

Would either of those also be seen as appropriate in the Grills, or is it stricter there?
