  1. I am set to sail on the Encore on January 8.  The official itinerary still shows that we will be in Puerto Plata Jan 10 and visiting GSC on Jan 14.  However, when I check two different port schedule websites, they show the Encore as heading to GSC Jan 9 and Puerto Plata Jan 13.   I'm not sure what to do for booking excursions in PP if the date is going to change. Or which dates I should trust! Any help is appreciated.

  2. What are the rules as far as which pools allow kids in them?

only asking because Breakaway and Getaway do not allow kids in the pool area of the main pool (even though there is an adults only pool as well), and my kids are too big for the kiddie pool area.

    Thanks

  3. Are you able to provide any insight on the main pool, and if kids are allowed to use it?

On the Breakaway and Getaway they have a really dumb rule that prohibits kids from using the main pool, they can't even be in the pool area. Even though there is a separate adults only area on the ship.

My kids were too big for the kiddie pool on those ships, so I don't want to make the same mistake.

    Thanks!

  4. Can anyone tell me what the set up of the main pool area is on the Breakaway?  My family did not at all like it when we went on the Getaway, because the main pool was deemed adults only.  The kids pool area was quite small, and not a lot of area for adults to even sit.  And it was really too young for my kids (15 and 12).

We are not interested in going on a cruise ship that is set up like this again.   I've tried to watch some YouTube videos of the Breakaway and it appears that kids are able to access the main pool, but I really want to be sure before booking.

    Thanks!

  5. I am schedule to sail on the Getaway in April. Initially, we were very excited to be doing cave tubing in Belize. Now that we know we will be stopping in Harvest Caye for the day, that won't be an option. Does anyone know if there are similar excursions at any of our other stops (Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel)?

  6. We are travelling with two kids who will be 12 and 10 when the ship sails in April. Are they going to be bored with Splash Academy? I would like to have a couple of hours on the ship when my husband and I could just have some time to ourselves, but I already feel like my 12 year old will put his foot down hard if it's totally cheesy and designed for younger ages?
