Just use your app. I believe Port of Miami has a destination charger. If you can't see anything on the app...just call the port.

I would not spend the night in Tampa and drive straight to Orlando or Port Canaveral. There is no traffic after 9 pm. It will take you around 2.5 hours to get to the port or 1.5 hours to Orlando.

If budget is not an issue which cruise (from Port Canaveral) would you choose? Destination? Number of days?
Traveling with kids under 10 y/o
Thank you!

We love this company. Found them originally on TripAdvisor. My family and several friends that used them in the past have never had any issues. They provide car seats free of charge.
Company is called STAR TRANS-VIP and not STAR Transportation. I booked once with STAR Transportation by mistake...BAAAAD mistake!

It all depends on your budget and number of people in your family/group.
Small family - UBER and shared shuttle service.
Large family - private car (we use star trans-vip - http://www.startransvip.com ).
I would hire a private car from the airport to the hotel. Then (again depends on your budget) use shared or private shuttle to the port. When you return - rent a car. That day you can visit KSC. Unless you want to spend some time at the beach, i would go straight to Orlando and stay there for a couple of days.

Rental car would be the cheapest option.
I see someone already suggested some shared shuttle companies. That is an option too.
If not on a tight budget - hire a private car.

I've heard good and bad things about both companies. I do not use shared shuttle myself, but i would definitely recommend to check which type of vehicle they use. The smaller the vehicle the better. I remember taking Disney shuttle from the airport (55 passenger motor coach) ... it took forever. So many people=so many stops=hours wasted. I prefer to save a bit more money and use a private car.

Ohhh...i see. I've heard about this service before, but have never used it myself. It is a bit more expensive than what we usually pay for luggage storage, but if you really don't have to worry about it until you arrive home that is a good deal.
Luggage Valet is available through Royal Carribean, you go to guest services and they will check you in to your flight, print your boarding passes and luggage tags for your flight home, you then leave your luggage outside of your room and they take it to the airport for you. Don't have to worry about it until you land at your home airport. It's kind of the same service that Disney uses at their resorts. Any sailing from Port Canaveral is able to use this service. I called yesterday and the current fee is $25 per person.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Thank you, guys!
moki'smommy, this trip is not for me : ( unfortunately...

If you had an unlimited budget, how would you plan your Disney cruise? Which cruise ship? What activities? Would you choose to go during the holiday season or during a slow season?
THANK YOU!

Search Cruise Critic boards... I've seen dozens of reviews and comments about this company

JohninDC, is right. Rent a car. Parking at any Disney park is only $20.00. You can stop by a restaurant on the way to the park (or from the park to MCO). Very convenient. Your flight is at 10 pm...plenty of time.
-
I have never heard about "the luggage valet service" in Orlando. Would love to get some more info on that.
But we usually use Star Trans-VIP company. It is a transportation company that offers luggage storage. The luggage storage (for a day) is around $35. If interested - contact them. They will be able to explain it a little bit better than me.

Not a problem. With the priority disembarkation and a private car, you can be at the airport as early as 8:30 am. Travel time is 45 min (there is no traffic at that time). If your flight leaves at 11 am, as someone mentioned before, you have to arrive at 9:30 am. Unless something goes wrong you should have no problem at all.
-
I do not know for sure, but i think a cab should not cost more than $20.00
-
Usually there is no problem catching a 12:30 pm flight from MCO. I've heard that people cruising on Carnival Magic don't always get off as early as they hope for, but i think your should be fine. Hope someone here has the info you are looking for.

Pelican Bar and Grill is right on the beach as well. I never use Uber and do not know the rules, but he/she would be able to drop you off right by the restaurant. It is hard to make a U-turn there, that is the reason Uber driver might not want to go all the way there. Then you will have a looong walk to the restaurant.

Fat Kahuna is right next to the Coconuts on the Beach. Unfortunately, you will have no view at all (street and the parking lot). I do not even think they have an outdoor seating. If you like Fat Kahuna's menu better, eat there and then move to the Coconuts on the beach for a couple of drinks.

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know : ) I've used many companies in the past, found the one i like and do not want to try any new ones. Also i do not want to drive by myself.
I found a family to share the ride. They are arriving on the same flight!!!

I agree. Coconuts is a great place with a nice view.

GTO-Girl, i did not! Thank you so much!

Hello.
I was wondering if anyone is traveling from Orlando to Port Canaveral or Cape Canaveral on Nov 4th 2016.
I am traveling solo this time and I am looking for another family (or two) to share a private car.
The problem is that i am too late to book an SUV (they are booked on that day ). The only vehicle they have is a 14 passenger van : ) That is the only transportation company we use in Orlando (STAR TRANS-VIP) and i do not really want to use any other company this time. Just trying to find someone to split the price.
Let me know ASAP! Thank you!

I do not think 11:30 am flight is a problem at all! You will have plenty of time. Self-disembarkation + private transfer (45 min) and you will be at the airport way before your scheduled departure. My friends who cruise twice a year book 10:30 am flights from MCO and make it every time.
