  1. The single pool really wasn't that bad, we were on the Sensation in April 2016 so lots of families were there on spring break. Considering the timing of your cruise, there will be probably be less families. I found the layout of the Sensation to be very easy to walk outside along the perimeter and there were several places that you could go on the ship to enjoy sunrise and sunset. We loved the aft areas near the buffet, it was perfect for sitting and enjoying the view. The Serenity deck isn't very private as the Aft eating area looked down into it and sometimes kids would get lost looking for a bathroom and would walk through the area.

  2. I recommend grabbing some of the non-perishable food items from the buffet to bring with you in the port. Unless your infant has a lot of food restrictions, I wouldn't waste space in your luggage with food items. There will be plenty of infant friendly food items on board. Definitely plan to stop by the Camp Ocean area to enroll your kids and plan to use it. My kids loved it and sometimes were upset when we picked them up. Also, consider a carrier to wear the baby. I found that putting my youngest in a carrier was a lot easier than trying navigate the ship and busy streets with a stroller, plus we didn't have a stroller taking up space in the cabin. I also brought several bathing suits for both the kids so that they would always have a dry suit to put on.

  3. If you log-in to the booking manager on carnival's website you can check that she's celebrating her birthday and you can pick the day that it is to be celebrated. Then once your on-board, you could coordinate with the dining room or bar staff to do something a little special just for her.

  4. We cruised with our 2 year old and 5 year old, they both did just fine sitting through the meal and we had your time dining on our last cruise. They have a children's menu and had high chairs available. I plan to do early dining for the next cruise, my PVP recommended it because the wait staff will be able to have things ready and waiting for us a bit more easily.

  5. Hi guys! I juuuust came back from my first cruise with Carnival from New Orleans to Progeso and Cozumel and had an amazing time!!! Silly question and would appreciate anyone's kind response: So I bought a hammock that comes with a wooden pole... blinded by my enthusiasm I didnt think aboit transporting it on my flight home... doesnt fit in my luggage... anyone have luck bringing it as a carry on? Or would I have to check it in :( ?

I'm sure you've figured out this dilemma already but maybe in the future you could have it shipped home.

  6. You will select either early or late fixed dining. You will receive your seat assignment when you receive your S&S card. If you are not happy with your seating, you will have to visit the maitre d' on the first day and request a change.

Thank you, unless the people we end up sitting with turn out to be a-holes then I don't think we'll have an issue

  7. I've searched a bit but couldn't find any recent information. We've been on a couple of cruises with Carnival already but we chose your time dining for those cruises. On our cruise in June 2018, I decided to try the assigned dining time. I've read a few different things about the experience itself but I was wondering how you receive the table assignment. Does the cruise line contact you at some point before the cruise? Do we get to give our preferences?

  8. We cruised on the Valor and had a 6, 5 and 2 year old in the kids club. I asked if the 6 year old could stay with the 5 and 2 year old or if the 5 year old could go with the 6 year old; the 6 yr old just wasn't used to daycare situations. The lady checking the kids in said that it would be fine and they let him stay with the younger kids.
