  1. 6 friends wondering whether to book Thomson excursions or find our own way. On Crete would it be possible to visit Spinalonga and Knossos?

We are on this cruise too :) and it is our first. As a newbie, I am a little worried about 'doing our own thing'. Also, has anyone heard yet if Kusadasi will be taken off of the itinerary? I hope not but think it is likely. Thanks in advance.

  2. Hi all

First cruise and have lots of questions. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.

If we are sailing on the Thomson Dream and the ship sails at 23:00, what time would embarkation normally commence?

Our flight originally landed at 20:50 which is a bit tight in IMO so the travel agent offered an earlier alternative at 06:40. I am happy with this but just wondered if we will have hours and hours waiting around at the port. Thanks in advance.

  3. I've booked our cruise s part of a Thomson package from their Cruise brochure. The flight listed was the one that lands at 20:50 and I thought was tight. The alternative was offered on the cruise website so I assume we will still get a transfer to the port area. Does anyone know what time embarkation will commence if the ship is set to sail at 23:00?

  4. We are going on our first cruise in 3 weeks on Thomson dream.

It was all booked as a package with Thomsons travel agents but I am a bit worried about flight times.

We arrive at Corfu at 20.50 and ship leaves at 23.00.

Has anyone else had these flight times and was it a worrying rush to make the ship.

We have no idea what we do when leaving the airport our transfers are included.

Keep having recurring dream of missing ship!

I believe you have a muster talk regarding safety before sailing but will we make it in time to hear it.

Thank you in advance for any replies

I've just booked my first cruise, also with Thomson on the Dream but we don't sail until May. We had the same flight arrival time as you into Corfu and I was offered the option of changing it to a 6:40am departure from Gatwick at no extra cost. I chose to do this as I too was concerned about how tight the timings were.

I hope you have a fab time and would love to hear all about it when you return.

    Happy cruising :)

  5. Hi. We are considering the Dream for May 2017 for our first and possibly only cruise. Can I ask what age group clientele it attracts or what types? I do not mean this question to be offensive. We are doing the cruise to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. The rest of the group are between 44 and 76. Would this be the right cruise or is it more party oriented?

We've just booked our first cruise for May 2017, a week on the Thomson Dream with drinks package included. I too was a little wary before booking as we've previously done hotels / apartments but next year marks the first year of not having to opt for school holidays so we decided on something different. My sister and her family are regulars on Thomson cruises and the age range of her party spans ages 10 years to mid 60's. We are a couple in our (lateish) 40's and I am looking forward to trying out something new :)
