So never got a reply from my e-mail so called Cunard today and was told absolutely, positively that the Grill Drinks Package is identical to the one sold aboard for $70 a day with a $13.50 limit per drink.

Thanks for that info, I've wondered that same thing? My paperwork says Grills package limit is $12 so I'm guessing they increased it along with the other package increases?

You can leave it with the wine steward, and they will bring it to you to finish at your next meal, or I suppose you could waste the corkage fee and bring it back to your cabin to finish.

I was thinking about being close to the bottom of the bottle. You have to pay a new corkage fee with each new bottle opened. If you'll need to open another bottle at the next meal anyway, it's not really a waste. I'm guessing you can walk out of the restaurants with any glass you haven't finished?

  3. Great review! I noticed you mentioned that if you paid the corkage fee on your own bottle you could take it with you to finish elsewhere on the ship? I have not heard anyone mention that and am wondering if anyone has experienced this? Not trying to game the system or not pay for drinks but we like to pick out our own wines and sometimes it would be nice to finish the bottle outside the dining venue when we are finished eating.

I am booked on the Solstice for an Alaska cruise in June and I was poking around tonight in the Dining section of the cruise planner.

I noticed what I think may be a new entry - Chef's Table by Daniel Boulud for $139.

Does anyone know for sure if this, in fact, a new Chef's Table experience?  I was interested in booking it, but not if it's the same 5 course meal at Murano that you could pick yourself off the menu there (I think it was the "Five Senses Gastronomic and Vineyard Tour" which was $89 per the Cruise Critic write up from August 21, 2018).  The Chef's Table write up does seem to indicate it has some nice extras - galley tour, cookbook, and a photo from dinner.

We're signed up for this as well, 6/22.

My guess is they follow some of the same format as the old chef's table but with new food.

Private room in Murano to eat and tour of the kitchen as well.
