1. Paradise Beach- Cozumel

2. 7 mile beach- Grand Cayman

Looking for maybe resorts that charge small fee for use of facilities, good food places and things of that nature. Thanks for any info provided.

What are some of the better options on booking an excursion other than going through carnival. Our ports are Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

I see with the cheers package it covers drinks $50 each or less. What are some of the higher end drinks and prices of them that you get with the cheers package. Thanks for any info.

With the cheers package if you get a coke,milkshake or special coffee do they count as one of yoir 15 drinks?

That's the exact same itinerary as our trip this coming May! We booked the Sea turtle farm excursion for Grand Caymen. Sounds great for all ages. Ocho Rios we are doing the bobsled. But for your family the 3 yr old wouldn't be able to unless over 46 inches. We don't have anything planned for Cozumel. Probably a beach day for us. Just curious as to what ship and when you are going! We are May 7 on Conquest.

Just got back from the Carnival Splendor for the 8 day Southern Caribbean itinerary. Loved the ship and the crew, nothing but nice things to say about the experience.

 

Thought I would share a few notes on how my wife and I felt we got the most out of Cheers while on board.

 

A) The Steakhouse has a nice rose champagne by Heidsieck that is $20 per glass and very nice. We each had 3 glasses with dinner on embarkation day and this alone made that day a big value.

 

B) Roca Patron Silver: $15 per shot at the pool bar. Incredibly smooth, goes down like water.(Also goes great stirred into a Margarita after 5 minutes ;) ) Don't forget to pace yourself !

 

C) Order your favorite frozen beverage, wait 5, and ask for an additional shot of your favorite ultra premium liquor on the side to stir in since they frozen drinks can taste pretty weak.

 

D) Asking for Pellegrino at the beginning of our MDR meals and request the large bottle of still water with dessert to bring back to the room or off with you in port.

 

E) Hitting the coffee bar before breakfast as well as after dessert/before night activities to get some pep.

 

F) We noticed that once we started tipping $1 per drink (in addition to the auto gratuity ofc) we started (1) receiving increasingly generous pours by the bartenders as the trip progressed and (2) being given priority when bars were busy with MDR waits /busy comedy club nights, etc.

 

Now if we could just go back...

I am need of suggestions for excursions or activities at the following ports. Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. It is 2 families and we will have 5 kids ranging from 3 years old to 15 years old. Would like excursions suggestions and also info on beaches withing walking distance from the ports or places that are a must do. Thanks in advance.

If you get the cheers package the 2nd day do you pay for the first day. Ship leaves at 4 first day and trying to get settled in and everything don't think it would be worth it in that day.

We just booked the Vista for April 2017. Can not wait. It will only be our 2nd cruise. First one was this year in fantasy. Does anyone have info on the specialty resturaunts like prices and what's the best one. Really interested in the steakhouse and Guys burger place. Thanks. Also any other tips for a 2nd time cruiser on a larger ship.
