I was asked by the admin to post my Marseille question on the France page instead, so that is what I did. Sorry for the repitition. 😢

We will be in port in just a few weeks on July 1 and we are celebrating our 35th Anniversary on that day as well. The prior tour we had scheduled did not get enough people to sign up (through ItalyTours) so I am trying to figure out a new plan. Wanted to try and make the day extra special, yet we really can't pay $800+ for a private tour either. Any advice you can offer would be most appreciated. (Many of the prior posts I was reviewing seem to be older...) Thanks so much!

We will be on a MSC cruise in a couple of weeks and several of our port excursions were just cancelled due to not enough people. We have looked for other options on Viator and they don't seem to work for us since they are catering to the other cruise ships that leave later in the day than ours does, so many I checked on said they can't guarantee we would be back to the port in time (unless we want to spend $800+ for 2 of us for private excursions.) We may just wing it and see what we can find when we get off the ship. My question is, if we do this, do you know if the independent taxi companies will still typically take a credit card? I just don't want to carry around a lot of cash. Naples- June 29 possibly take a ferry to Sorrento or to Capri/Blue Grotto Livorno- June 30 Florence and Pisa Marseille- July 1 (also our 35th Anniversary, so really wanted to make the day special) Marseilles, Aix, Cassis Thanks much! 😀
