  1. Being a young college student I do not have a credit card only a debit card. I have only cruised with my best friends family. The first cruise I went on (on NCL) I did not add a credit card before check in and they wouldn’t attach my moms card to my account since she was not sailing. However the last 2 cruises I’ve been have been on Royal (Anthem specifically) and I added my mom’s credit card to my onboard account (even though it wasn’t my name and she wasn’t sailing) and had no problem either time. Both times the check in agents said something to the effect of “great you have your expense account set up”.

  2. Currently on Anthem. Captain came on about 3pm yesterday informing of us a grave medical emergency that could not be completed via helicopter evacuation due to severity of the patient & weather conditions. He was expecting an early afternoon arrival into Bayonne but due to rough seas and wind we were pushed back quite a bit and just arrived alongside the dock about 40 minutes ago. The original plan was to go back out to sea but with the late arrival time we are just staying in port until the usual disembarkation time tomorrow. Rumor has it the patient is a woman suffering from kidney failure and is on life support. Prayers to her and the family.

  3. I'm also on this cruise :D Only 56 days!

This is my first 12 night but I have done a 10 night and was able to fit everything into a standard size large suitcase and a small backpack (and I'm a huge overpacked!). I find rolling clothes tends to save some space, but everything has their own methods. You can find lots of tips & tricks to maximize space on YouTube.

  4. Did this excursion in December 2016. We met on the pier and met with an Atlantis representative who gave us wristbands and some information about the day. She led us to these large vands/small buses at the entersnce to the port and everyone got on (tons of buses and tons of people). When at Atlantis we were walked through the hotel, casino etc to the water park and showed the locker rooms and such. I believe it was $17 for a medium size locker. They had shuttles running constantly from about 2pm to 4pm to bring you back to the pier. It was nice having all the transportation arranged and I enjoyed the excursion very much! Hope this info is helpful (and accurate! It's only been a year and I can't remember everything :O )

  5. Bonine tablets (I take them everyday as a preemptive measure and have never gotten sick. Last cruise we went through some rough seas and most of my party was out of commission but I was fine). Also drink some ginger ale and have a green apple if you're already feeling sick. Sea bands are a good preemptive measure as well. I always wear mine.
