  1. What about your check in bag, unless you need it enflight?

    bon voyage

We actually voted not to bring any checked bags - just for the off chance it doesn't make it to the ship with us! From the sounds of it, I'll probably just scoop some into a smaller container!

Another quick question though, do I need to have the clear bag ready to take out at the checking screen at the airport? My suitcase doesn't have pockets, but my SO's bag does, so I'm debating on whether I should put it in my one suitcase (I'm not even planning on bringing a purse) or in his.

  2. So we're leaving KCI for FLL in just 3 short weeks from now. I've already started packing my bags (I'm a big planner). I really just want to know if Aquaphor counts as a "liquid", because it's not something that would ever pour out, its basically a petroleum healing jelly/ointment. I REALLY want to bring it because I get bad sunburns often (Dang my lack of melanin). But I know the jar I currently have is over 10 oz, let alone 3.4oz.

  3. No worries if you have a carnival excursion!

We only picked the latest time because we're not sure how much of early risers we'll be on vacation since we've never really taken one before. There was no way we were gonna try to book a private excursion with it being our first time! LOL

  4. I would move up your parasailing by an hour, if possible. If the ship sails at 1pm, you must be back onboard by 1230. You are cutting it close. EM

Fortunately, we booked through the Carnival Excursions page. It says that means that they will wait for us, isn't that true?

  5. We're going to Key West and Cozumel and plan on buying souvenirs. Do they take American currency or how do I get the currency needed for the port? We don't use credit cards, so that not an option. Thanks in advance!

  6. Hey all,

My SO and I are going on our first cruise (also our first real vacation) together in a bit less than a month. We are sailing on the Carnival Sensation to Key West and Cozumel! It's a week after our birthdays (4/12 & 4/14) so we're calling it our birthday cruise.

In KW I already scheduled a suprise of parasailing on the latest one possible. We're only in KW from about 8am-1pm, so we're parasailing from 11-12. Other than that we're completely open.

I'm wondering if anyone has tips for the ports we're sailing to, or any tips for the ship itself. We're really easy going people so we normally just go with the flow of things. We already purchased the Cheers! package because he tends to drink fairly regularly and this will be my 21st so we figured "why not," (also because specialty coffee is calling my name).

Any tips and suggestions would be great!
