  1. My bags are pack, but I'm not ready to go ... We should be in the Chesapeake soon. The last night is always sad ...
  2. We did the Royal Clue game (which is fun, but hard) and the had lunch in Windjammer. Then we went to see the egg drop competition:
  3. I went to the Captain's Corner. I haven't been to one before, but I really enjoyed it. Although a surprisingly large number of the questions were either about how the toilets work (which they repeatedly explained) or how much longer they are going to keep the Vision class ships in the fleet (which they repeatedly did not answer).
  4. Gah ... I'm so behind. Dinner last night was the standard second formal night menu. Vidalia onion tart (which is good, but also, let's be real, it's a quiche...). French onion soup (which is always good): Chicken Marsala (this was ... Not my favorite): Warm chocolate cake (I asked for more ice cream - my preferred ice cream to cake ratio is about 2 to 1):
  5. I went to see Boogie Wonderland, which was a fun 70s production show. @jodiwinn - I tried to get as many pictures with who I think is your son in them:
  6. Windjammer investigations. This is the polenta they used to have on the first night menu, before the last menu change: And I think these are the MDR desserts from the Italian menu, which we aren't having:
  7. Not quite time to get ready, but my dress for the second formal night (because when else can I re-wear a bridesmaid dress in public ...) And with the jewelry:
  8. I still had onboard credit (this was refundable, but I still prefer to use it), so I picked up a couple of T-shirts that were bright and colorful:
  9. I always make it a tradition to spend my non-refundable onboard credit on a piece of sterling silver jewelry. I wear what I previously bought frequently, and it makes me smile. This was today's acquisition: And here it is with the other pieces I brought with me. The ring is from either my trip on Freedom for Christmas 2017 or to Bermuda in October of 2018. The necklace is from Last Christmas on Enchantment:
  10. I woke up and went to breakfast in Windjammer (try the Indian breakfast food - it's fantastic). After hanging out for a bit, it was time for water aerobics (which I really quite enjoy) and some time in the hot tub. I was overwhelmed by the line for the MDR, so that a no. I had lunch at Park Cafe - the corn chowder and panini were quick good, although the panini could have used longer. Some dessert from Windjammer and an ice cream cone rounded out the day.
  11. It's been a rainy, rocky day ... You know it's trouble when these are out ....
  12. After dinner, I went to the Perfect Couple. I've never been before, and it's okay, but the sixth floor space makes it very hard to see. I called it an early night after that.
  13. Dinner was Caribbean night - there were different bits and pieces I wanted from different dishes, but nothing I really wanted all of, so I went to Windjammer to get plantains and dumplings and such before the show, and then soup and salad in the MDR. Tofu and avocado salad (this was so good): French onion soup: Vegan brownie (this is good, but it needs ice cream):
  14. So, I'm from Boston, and have lived there most of my life. But. I spent two years in Texas. There, I developed a real affinity for country music, and an understanding of Texas county music (which is a different style than mainstream country). I have so many happy memories of being with my friends from Texas, sitting and listening to live music, having been kissed by the sun and drinking Shiner on bar patios. Obviously, there was no Shiner last night, but the show otherwise transported me back to that. It was an an acoustic set from Tim Rushlow, who was in Little Texas.
  15. Pilot boat photos: Pilot boat video (not sure if this will work): PXL_20231227_222100698.TS.mp4
