  2. Depending on the hotel if we arrive early check with hotel to see when the room will be ready. For us 80% of the time we can get in the room. If we can not get in room drop our bags off and get instructions where to have lunch and then come back. We we do get in room a 3 hour nap works then we are off. Early dinner (unless you are In Spain) reading and to sleep usually we are ready to go the next day on a tour or a cruise. Also we only book economy plus or comfort plus leg room is important we are both tall

  3. I was wondering about dress code for formal and other nights. We will be coming off a 12 day tour of Australia this matches up with the tour and thought a perfect way to see New Zealand

  4. We were there this past summer and they accepted euros with no problem in cafes and shops. We did not go to Split but because it is so popular I would expect euros to work just fine

  5. We have been on this cruise route a few times before at that time of year. I found mittens the best to keep hands warn. Lots of shops to look for mittens/gloves/ scarves etc. Remember there are cobble stones I have a pair of faux fur lined Skechers that I keep only for these trips ended up wearing them almost all the time, had a pair of leather boots with rubber soles just in case Have found fun Loved Basel

  6. There is a shore excursion I really want to take. I will be disappointed if it sells out before we board. I have a very large OBC and nothing to spend it on but shore excursions. If I book and prepay, can I cancel on board, get a refund, and rebook and use my OBC?

Interesting question. We had a tour cancelled and it was put as a credit on our account We ended up booking another tour but I don't know if accounting knows the difference between a cash refund or obc when they co mingle it in your account If they know the difference then the refund could be used towards gratuities we ended up spending our obc and only had the gratuities to pay

  7. A couple of answers when went on the West Indies cruise we booked our own flights but other times we took their air it was near in rear and they said they always give at least 1 aisle seat but you can change your seats after you are book on the flight in most cases. If you are staying in old San Juan the cab from the airport is about $25. You can probably walk to the cruise ship or a short taxis ride to port. The muster was done before we departed the port on the deck. Pretty much the same procedure as on any other cruise

We got on board about 2 had lunch and our room was ready. Luggage delivered to room no real wait Check in is very easy no long waits just needed credit card, passports and we were on. Take your time to explore the ship. We have been on similar itineraries to this one before but really enjoyed the ports talks the night before If you are shopping they have a person to help you and tell you where the deals are but not shopping focused

    Viking treats you right. Enjoy[emoji3]

  8. Just got an email from Tauck and looks Windstar has partnered with then on some small ship itineraries. That may be the reason for the delays in the 2018 European itineraries being posted
