  1. We paid $8 for uber from 17th street hotel to PE a few weekends ago for our cruise. Leaving PE and going to the airport was $20 via uber which seemed high for a quick ride but I have no idea how that compares to a taxi fare. That day we left, there were crazy surge prices on uber though.

This was for (4) people in a minivan both times.

  2. Fwiw - it sounds like you have received your email. Just wanted to let you know, we were on Allure last week and the concierge team (Dexter and Nancy) were fantastic to work with before and during the cruise! We received quick turnaround of emails before the cruise. They also helped us with excursion cancellations and rebooking/refunds, show and restaurant reservations, and answering any question we had all week. They also helped us deal with a small billing issue the morning of departure in minutes. I'm not sure if they will still be there next week when you travel, but if so then you are in great hands! Have a wonderful trip. ;)

  3. Hello everyone!

We just took our first family cruise on Allure last week and loved it! We had a suite and the royal suite class perks (sky class) were phenomenal.

We are looking at booking some future cruises (as a couple and separately with kids) and need help. Specifically, the Freedom and Adventure of the seas both intrigue us for the itinerary and ship/port locations. Recognizing these are not oasis class, can someone help in describing their experience with the suite class perks on these ships?

Do either of these ships include:

    - suite sun deck / other private area

    - suite only restaurant

    - concierge / suite lounge access

    - free drinks in lounge (all day or only during a happy hour?)

    - free internet access (1 device pp?)

DH and I heard a lot about NCL's Haven from other cruisers last week. Sounds like Haven tops even the oasis class suite perks. However, we would love to stay with RCCL from a loyalty / points perspective.

Having a hard time deciding on next cruise, and would love any input from CC members. Thank you!

  4. Starting to pack for our upcoming cruise on Allure and running into some questions about my kids clothing for dinner in the MDR and Coastal Kitchen.

DD (11) will have on a dress every night. However, she often likes to wear a jean jacket with the dress as she's always cold. Is this acceptable? Would it matter if the jean jacket was white vs blue? I'm planning to bring a sweater as well for her but I know she would prefer the jacket.

DS (8) will have khaki shorts or other nice shorts to wear with polos or short sleeve button down shirts. Are shorts acceptable for young boys? I plan to have him wear khaki pants with a dress shirt and tie for the formal nights.

Thank you for any advice or recommendations!

  5. We are traveling on the Allure, 4/2-4/9, in a grand suite. My understanding with the sky suite benefits is that priority seating is available for select entertainment venues.

First question, does anyone know which entertainment / shows are included in that suite benefit? Are there any exclusions?

Second, do we still need reservations for the entertainment (i.e. specific day/ time) and then simply sit in the priority seating area (if available)?

Just trying to understand how this works so I can make sure to book entertainment properly when it becomes available.

    Thank you!
