  1. We just booked our 1st cruise to Alaska in beginning of Aug just wondering what to expect with weather more shorts or warmer wear?

    Hi!

We're also planning to experience Alaska, however it won't be on August as my work won't let me. But I'll be there by November. I have already inquired on various travel sites like hotels.com and hotelsdifferently.com. Both had provided me with very helpful insights and virtual tour. And so they say that weather in Alaska from mid May to mid September can change from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit at any time, and does so on a daily basis, not on a monthly basis. However, one thing that you must consider is your list of activities as it can create a weather change such as if you are up under the calving face of a glacier. I hope this served some help. :)

  2. We are new to cruising and looking to book the Allure of the Seas. How far in advance do we need to book? Will that determine our price?

Whether you choose to book your vacations through travel sites or you've got a travel agent readily available, booking in advance gives you flexibility. A year in advance down to six months is cool. Travel sites like hotels.com, hotelscombined.com and hotelsdifferently.com typically allow you to make adjustments or if you need to add something to your vacation, the changes will likely be accommodated since more options will be open as apposed to later when everything gets booked up.

  3. We'll be on the RT Sydney to GBR Oct 15 - Oct 25. We're spending a day and a half in Sydney before the cruise. After the cruise, we'd like to get away from "the city" and do something a little different... see some nature and wildlife.

We'll get off the ship on Oct 25 in Sydney, then fly home from Sydney on Oct 28.

Looking at renting a car and driving to Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort when we get off the ship to spend 2 nights there. Looks like a good place to "get away", see some nature and kangaroos. Also, looks like a good central point to do a bit of exploring. Looks like it's about a 4 hour+ drive from Sydney.

Does this sound like it makes sense? Or, any other suggestions for a similar couple of nights after docking in Sydney?

    Thanks!!

Obviously, there are some things you just can’t miss on Sydney! Of course, there’s the Sydney Opera House as the top attraction. I suggest you squeeze into your schedule the Harbour Bridge. You can also catch a ferry to experience the city from water. If you want to relax by visiting one of the beautiful beaches, you just have to take a short bus ride from the center. But travel wise, this city is beaming with must see places so whatever itinerary you decide to have, you will surely love your time in Sydney! 

  4. Just around the suburbs of Canton, Federal Hill and Fells point, you'll find budget accommodation that comes in the form of a big convention type. If you're a business traveler, try Harbor Court Hotel. There hasn't been a price hike in the last two years. From there, you'll find lots of same travelers with interesting and helpful tips along the way. :)

  5. Whether you will plan it yourself or let others do it for you, a cruise vacation is only for you to discover, but then that's the beauty of cruise holidays, because they offer so much diversity and cover countless destinations. It really doesn't matter which part of the world you're heading to, I’m sure you'll always be able to count on the range of activities that chosen cruise ship itself offers.
