Which cruise line are you traveling with? I'm currently booked with Celebrity and have offered transportation from Ravenna cruise port to Bologna Central Station for approximately $40 USD per person. They have provided service to Bologna airport for approximately $50.

Did you (or your travel agent) book it for you? I called my travel agent yesterday and she was pretty sure they didn't offer a transfer from Raveena to Bologna airport. She was going to call Celebrity and find out, but I have not heard back yet.

We are going to be on Celebrity Constellation. I will check with my agent. Thanks!

  3. Hello All! We are a group of 4 and are trying to figure out the best way to get from Raveena to Bologna airport on disembarkation day. Has anyone heard of or found a good private transfer company? We are open to other ways to get there but are thinking a private transfer would be easiest and less stressful. TIA!

In my below (expanded) signature, one of the Live From threads I have listed is on the Summit in one of those aft-facing cabins. If I might suggest, just look at the pictures so it will be quicker to go through.

    Thank you!

No, don’t book any of those aft-facing AQ cabins on Deck 11 on any of the M-class ships! Here are some of the annoying reasons why!

    - horrible views out the back, where a lot of birds like to fly, as well as have partial views on both sides of the ship, depending on which cabin you pick.
    - minimal wind gusts to deal with when the ship is moving.

    - no stairs or elevators to deal with if you want to walk over to the Reflection Lounge or back after a late night show.

    - an annoying walk-in shower

    - buffet is one deck below where you can easily go at lunchtime, get food, then come back and eat it out on the balcony.

    - if your refrigerator runs low on beer/drinks, you can walk down the outdoor stairs to the Sunset Bar and get what you need to restock it.

But most importantly, don’t book them until a few days after they become available, as we want to make sure we’re able to book ours first! 😂

Well played. So I take it as you think I SHOULD snag 1130? 🤣

Click/tap on the above thread.  There is a nice aft photo with cabin number labels on it.  You can see the public outside door next to 1130 that leads out to the stairwell that I was talking about.  This would not deter me from booking it, but others may feel differently.  BTW, the passengers that may end up using that door the most might be you!  How sweet it would be to be able to access the Sunset Bar so easily.

Thank you so much! And true!!! And I have 3 other couples on that side down the hall that would be the others. 🤣

Annoying in what way?. There's only five AQ aft cabins to choose from. If 1130 is the only one left, I would the it. I think 1140 is the best if I remember correctly.

What I have read is that the door is right there and it vibrates the wall when it closes and shuts. And that people try to look into the balcony. I am not 110% sure if that was on Constellation or not?

Hello! We have an opportunity to book an aft cabin on deck 11 on the Constellation. Currently, we have a cabin on the I believe port side (1118). Does anyone have any thoughts don't the aft cabins on deck 11? Should I make the move? TIA!

The cabin is on the end- 1130. I have read that the door next to it may be annoying?

Thank you everyone. We picked 1118. I am sure we will be very happy. 🆒 Looking forward to our first trip on Constellation and to India! Thanks again.

I know this is old, but if you are still on here, how was this cabin? Also, do you know if the dividers in these cabins (specifically 1112-1122) are able to open if you are with a group?

I would advise some research if you are going for Aqua on Deck 9. Reason is that the Pool filtration system is in the middle of Deck 9 below the Pool. . We experienced this and it was like being trapped in a washing machine. Luckily we could got moved . Suggest the cabins aft of the lifts to be safe

We just booked 9010-9016. I am hoping that is a good spot??

How many days is the cruise?   The cabins will be the same size.   Blu is nice but our cut off point is about $35/night pp. for AQ on a S class.   That is because the Persian Garden is nice.   On the M class it isn’t worth going to and our cut off is about $25/ night pp.  Any  more and you can dine in the specialty restaurants for a few night or get a multi night dining package

The MDR offers breakfast everyday and lunch on seas days.   The food and service is just as good and the menu is actually better for breakfast.

If you are celebrating being 50 it is actually your 51st birthday.   The day you were born is  number one.   After one year it is your 2nd one. 🤗

    Happy cruising🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

    It is 10 nights.

And you are correct! Ha..Cheers to our 51st birthday! 🙂

Sure. Once you get your booking # you can manage your reservation online and book your dining, beverage, excursions, etc.. You can book a single specialty restaurant reservation or multiple night specialty dining packages. The more dining package nights you book the less expensive it becomes per night. Once onboard you can go to any specialty dining venue and make reservations for the nights you want at each restaurant.

    Thank you!!

Blu is a much smaller venue with better service than MDR, however staying in a veranda stateroom and buying a dining package will get you the smaller venue, great service and better food experience. It will also most likely cost you less.

I didn't realize there is a dining package? Do you have more info about that by chance?

My wife and I just got off The Constellation in Rome prior to the TA and were in 6144.  Part of the Ultra.  Benefit to this is you get eh steward for the suits / PH rooms so service in MHO is slightly better.  My daughter was in a inside cabin on deck 7 and would comment as to how much better our person was.  You also get the benefit of the deeper balcony.  Plenty of room to dine on and my wife and I would have breakfast out there in the morning.

An oddly room service was better too.  Again my daughter would complain about colder food and missing items and we had the best room service experience we have ever had when we have booked these rooms in the back.  Each delivery was followed up by a phone call asking if everything was OK and if we would like something else.  If the balcony and service is worth it then go for it.  I don't see any other benefits, but it is worth it to us.  We had booked the same room on Summit a few years ago and our experience was the same.

Thank you for all this info! 🙂
