  1. I'm heading out on a British Isles cruise in July and staying in London the night before the cruise. My plan is to take National Express from LHR to Victoria Station (where we are staying). My question is how long do you think it will take to get from plane landed to wherever we need to get on the bus? It has been quite some time since I've been to LHR, but last time it took 2-3 hours from what I can remember. I would like to pre-book my National Express tickets. Thank you 🙂

  2. I did the eastbound 14 days from FLL to Copenhagen last year and LOVED IT! One of the best things you can do is get involved in the cruise-long activities, like daily trivia, pop choir, or any other special group activities. It creates a fun bond with your fellow cruisers. The weather was pretty warm for the first few days, but then we hit rain and a cold snap. Still one of the best cruises I’ve done.

  3. I have heard of the social option for purchasing Internet time, but have not heard of the Social Ocean app. Can you explain what this app is and where you found it?

    It was an app I was able to download prior to my cruise through the Apple App Store. I can't seem to find a link to it now. Some others have said you don't need to go through the app, though. Facebook/ Messenger should just work as long as you are connected to the intranet.

  4. I was on the Regal in April. Messaging through Facebook and WhatsApp is now free for all passengers through the Social Ocean app. You can contact anyone through those apps without wasting internet minutes. It's the same as using Princess@Sea which can be done for free. I also think just being on Facebook is free, but I can't remember exactly.

  5. I did it a couple of years ago because I thought it would be a good idea. If you are a lover of Thanksgiving, it will be a letdown. There is no real big special feast or much special decor. There is football on the MUTS if that entices you at all.

  6. This is probably the best thread on this site! I never had a problem with ez air until this upcoming trip. Now all it is is problems. I took the Delta confirmation number from the Cruise personalizer onto my Delta app. All of the flights came up...EXEPT ONE! The flight missing is the one that will actually get me to the ship (I have to connect because of course [emoji849]). When I realized I immediately called Princess but the air department was closed. I’ll be calling again today. On a positive note, the agent I spoke worth last night was really nice.

  7. I just checked my EZ Air today after reading this post. I’ve had good experiences with Princess Air until this upcoming trip. A couple of weeks ago I was checking my air and even though I could see the air reservation in my cruise personalized and I paid for the air in January, it said my reservation had been canceled. When I called Princess they said my travel companion canceled the flights in October. I asked how that could be possible when I, the person who booked the trip, never received confirmation of such a change AND I paid for the flights 4 months after the reservation was canceled AND the reservation was still showing on my personalizer. Their only response was “Yeah, that is really strange.” So I agree. Check often.

  8. I, too, am on the April 15th voyage. I called 3 times to note my disappointment and...nothing. My cruise was booked last August. I am a long time Princess cruiser and have had only good experiences up to this point, but this whole situation makes me wary of how they may behave in the future. It seems like for every voyage they have changed over to a preview, they waited until after final payment was due. However, for this voyage, I will try to focus on the positives and have a good time. I don’t want it to ruin my whole vacation!

  9. My mom has been taking me on cruises since I was 2 years old and as a single mom since I was 13. We love the special time away together. Even the planning is a great bonding experience. Definitely look around and find the cruise line that is best for you and then look into the right itinerary. It sounds like the Caribbean may be your cup of tea, but check out everything.

    You don’t need to attend all of the activities or socialize with all of the people if you don’t want. I’m pretty introverted and tend to spend most of my cruise time just chilling with Mom. Good luck!

  10. I spoke to a Princess rep today regarding the 4/15 sailing. She confirmed that it was going to still be a preview cruise. I was marked as being interested in an ***** cabin should one be available, but that was it. It seems super shady that Princess isn’t being forthright with this information on the website.

  11. I just spoke to Adam at Princess about the 4/15 Regal Cruise. I’m not in one of the Muster station B cabins, but when I asked the status of my Medallion (when it would be mailed to me), he said 2 weeks prior. When I pressed a little more and asked if there was anything else I needed to know about *****, he said there wasn’t. Either I wasn’t being specific enough Witt my questions or different reps have different information. Probably both. Now I wonder, what is the truth about these spring and summer cruises?

  12. We are on the same cruise as you, April 15th TA Regal Princess. With that said we are not in an ***** room as listed. Spoke to Princess yesterday about the ***** progress, our cruise is now an "***** Preview cruise" now and that ALL Regal cruises are that way through the Spring and all other ships have been put on hold for ***** until they can get Regal 100% working.



     

    The rep offered to move us to an ***** room, I turned it down because we like our room where we're at. We fly back to CPH in Sept. for the TA returning to NYC and the goal is to have the Regal 100% by then. So while we were talking I ask is there OBC or something in lieu of no ***** service, I got $100 OBC for myself and wife plus unlimited internet because we're Platinum.

     

     

     

    Thank you for checking into this! I’m also on the TA. The website still says that this is an “Ocean Medallion Vacation”. I will have to call Princess today to see what can be done.

  13. Thanks to all who’ve responded. All the info is much appreciated. I did call Princess and verified my ***** room. She said we’d be hearing from then in another week or so to see if we wanted to receive our Medallions in the mail or at the port. I think mail will be much better! She said that the ***** was fully functioning for those that had it.... all aspects....as a room key, to find a friend, to pay for anything, to have drinks ordered and waiting, to access your folio.... we’ll see, but I’m hoping for a grand experience!

     

     

     

    Did they say if everyone is having the ***** or just selected cabins? My cabin isn’t in the preview group, but I thought it was supposed to be shipwide by the TA.
