  1. Huge bourbon fan here.

The bars have Woodford Reserve or Buffalo Trace. The rye they have is nasty Templeton - the abomination from Iowa.

From one bourbon lover to another... give the rum cocktails a try! Visit the Alchemy bar. Get to know the bartenders and tell them what you like. You will not be disappointed

  2. Strange. The department of tourism said it was running. Guess not [emoji17]

That is where we stopped. Maybe a misunderstanding on my part but the lady said “no trolley”. I didn’t see any either. :(

  3. Have your children take some of the books they have read or purchase new ones. Stop in Cockburn Town and visit some of the craft stands. Many of them have kids about who would love to get a new book. Great for your kids to share. Take any extras to Jacks Shack and they will get them to the library which is in great need.

What an awesome idea. I have tons of kids books around the house.

  4. So if I like a drink that always seems to stump the bartenders, will this be the place to go? My brother is a bartender and got me hooked on the Ramos Fizz. I always get strange reactions when I ask for it here in CA.

    Love Ramos Fizz!!!

Can’t wait to get on the Glory next Saturday and check this bar out!

  5. Sounds great! My "kid" will be with, but she is 25. So we will be able to get a few fun family pictures. :)

My husband still "refuses" to dress up at all - but he heard the Steakhouse bar menu may have some higher end bourbons on there, so he may weaken by that time!

We are from MN, so "snow" isn't all that exciting, but I love seeing people who don't normally have snow react to it, so that will be fun.

Is there a way to learn what stuff they will have going on before we cruise? If they do Ugly Sweater, I want to make sure I pack mine! lol

  6. Hey Midwesthiker, my wife and I are sailing on that same cruise you are booked on...as well as the week before on the same ship. I was hoping Christmas Day was a day at sea as was in the original itinerary (with another day at Half Moon Cuay). But now that it has changed to Amber Cove, we are looking for an excursion for that day.

Fun! Yeah we are not sure about Amber Cove. None of the excursions really interest us and we are not big pool people.

  7. This Christmas will be our first cruise. Can anyone tell me what special things they have going on Christmas Eve/Day? We are trying to escape the cold weather and enjoy our time as a family in warm weather, but I love the decorations and all the fun of the holidays.

Thanks! If it helps, we will be on the Glory and Christmas Day is in Amber Cove. It will be my husband, our daughter, my mother, and I.

  8. I would suggest if you go on an excursion to come back to the ship early. For about the last hour before the ship sails again, there is a huge influx of passengers coming back at the same time. The line stretches back for quite a ways and once inside, it's a madhouse trying to get on an elevator.

    Good idea! Thank you.
