We were on Glory in December and the aft pool never had any issues. Most of the time it was empty!

Just booked Feb 2020. So far away!!
-
Anything made at the Alchemy bar. I loved the Island Old Fashioned but “off menu” was a Whiskey sour or a bourbon old fashioned .

Spent a lot of time in the “adults only” area on our Christmas cruise. Hardly anyone in the pool. Would not have bothered me if there had been kids. They were back there getting pizza anyway.
-
We tipped $1 per cocktail, sometimes $2 in the Alchemy bar and we always were served quickly & had a great time. Bartenders were happy to make us a specialty drink too. We spent like $150 on tipping & were very pleased with the service we received.

Hubby and I like cocktails and most days on our cruise only had 4-5 drinks, but adding the non -alcoholic drinks and bottles of water we saved a ton of money!!

Just got off Carnival Glory. Saw lots of cut off Jean shorts, basketball shorts, T-shirt’s, & flip flops in the MDR. Honestly you will be fine if you dress nicely. I felt overdressed in my skirt & top!

I spent 7 days craving chips. Next time I am packing some. Lol

Strange. The department of tourism said it was running. Guess not [emoji17]

That is where we stopped. Maybe a misunderstanding on my part but the lady said “no trolley”. I didn’t see any either. :(

Was there last week and told that it wasn’t running & they didn’t know when it would be. Was bummed because we planned to use it.

Have your children take some of the books they have read or purchase new ones. Stop in Cockburn Town and visit some of the craft stands. Many of them have kids about who would love to get a new book. Great for your kids to share. Take any extras to Jacks Shack and they will get them to the library which is in great need.
What an awesome idea. I have tons of kids books around the house.

So if I like a drink that always seems to stump the bartenders, will this be the place to go? My brother is a bartender and got me hooked on the Ramos Fizz. I always get strange reactions when I ask for it here in CA.

Love Ramos Fizz!!!
Can’t wait to get on the Glory next Saturday and check this bar out!

Thanks for the great review. We are going on Glory for Christmas and sounds like we will be having a great time.

Karib just cancelled my booking for December. Anyone have another company to recommend?
-
Why did you not like your room?
-
I hope they don't move serenity, I picked my cabin location to be near it!
-
Is it hard to get the price drop? I booked online originally and have never talked to anyone at Carnival. I see mine is $80 pp cheaper.
-
Sounds great! My "kid" will be with, but she is 25. So we will be able to get a few fun family pictures. :)
My husband still "refuses" to dress up at all - but he heard the Steakhouse bar menu may have some higher end bourbons on there, so he may weaken by that time!
We are from MN, so "snow" isn't all that exciting, but I love seeing people who don't normally have snow react to it, so that will be fun.
Is there a way to learn what stuff they will have going on before we cruise? If they do Ugly Sweater, I want to make sure I pack mine! lol

Hey Midwesthiker, my wife and I are sailing on that same cruise you are booked on...as well as the week before on the same ship. I was hoping Christmas Day was a day at sea as was in the original itinerary (with another day at Half Moon Cuay). But now that it has changed to Amber Cove, we are looking for an excursion for that day.

Fun! Yeah we are not sure about Amber Cove. None of the excursions really interest us and we are not big pool people.

This Christmas will be our first cruise. Can anyone tell me what special things they have going on Christmas Eve/Day? We are trying to escape the cold weather and enjoy our time as a family in warm weather, but I love the decorations and all the fun of the holidays.
Thanks! If it helps, we will be on the Glory and Christmas Day is in Amber Cove. It will be my husband, our daughter, my mother, and I.
-
Thank you so much everyone! I am feeling much better now. We are very excited to go on our first cruise. We have generally avoided them in the past because of my husband's anxiety, but as long as he takes his medicine and sticks to the less crowded areas I am sure he will be fine. :)

Any chance they might start selling it a year in advance? Or even 18 months?
We're on the Magic in October 2017.
We are on the Glory in Dec 2017 and I purchased mine when I booked a few weeks ago.

I would suggest if you go on an excursion to come back to the ship early. For about the last hour before the ship sails again, there is a huge influx of passengers coming back at the same time. The line stretches back for quite a ways and once inside, it's a madhouse trying to get on an elevator.
Good idea! Thank you.

I was on Glory last month and will be on her again in 12 days. If you email me specific questions I can try to get answers for you. My email is Namelocg at aol dot com. I will not have Internet on the ship so answers will be after Feb 4th when I get home.
Thanks! I will email you if I have any more questions!
Bourbon
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Huge bourbon fan here.
The bars have Woodford Reserve or Buffalo Trace. The rye they have is nasty Templeton - the abomination from Iowa.
From one bourbon lover to another... give the rum cocktails a try! Visit the Alchemy bar. Get to know the bartenders and tell them what you like. You will not be disappointed
