My husband seems to be leaning toward cancelling the catamaran tour and booking our day at Paradise Beach Club.
That way we have the pool, loungers, food and drink, and if the ocean is nice we can take a swim there too.
I just hope it doesn't rain.
If it rains, it definitely won't last long. It never does. Paradise Beach is the my go to place, always. You can't go wrong. The pool is fabulous, the food is yummy, the staff is great, the grounds are beautiful, the bathrooms are always clean.

I'm cruising on the Breeze in February and received the upgrade/upsell offer. My friend and I booked in inside interior (box room) with the CHEERS rate code. I wanted a balcony, she wanted the CHEERS rate code, so I said okay. First we received an upsell to a balcony for $80, we took (got to keep the CHEERS rate code). Win, win.. I get my balcony, she gets to keep CHEERS. About 3 weeks, I received another upsell. This time for $100 to go a spa balcony of course I took it. So now we have spa amenities with CHEERS.. I'm excited!

You can always call Carnival or who you used to book your cruise and see about extending. Doesn't hurt to try. As the previous poster said, you could see if Carnival ends up extending final payment as well.

I just read somewhere that if the cruise was paid in full that TA's still received their commission, even if the cruise is cancelled by Carnival. 1st cancelled cruise only. I have been working to pay off my 2022 cruise so that my TA will get her commission.
That is correct.

Thanks... Too funny, we were cruising the same month. I was on the Breeze July 2018, in an aft extended balcony.

That deck 9 one has a nice shady overhang though and no one can see down on you.
We are not sensitive to noise. I've heard people talk about hearing people dragging deck chairs and the staff re-arranging them at night but I think it is not an issue to worry about.
I had a deck 8 aft extended on Magic and I talked to the guy above us on 9 and asked him about noise and he said it wasn't an issue.
That's great to know! Thanks!

I prefer shade and privacy anyway and would take a deck 9 aft extended if it were my choice.
I said deck 8 because, 9 puts you under the lido. Didn't know if it would too loud.

What month?
October.

I'm having a hard time trying to decide if I want a spa balcony cabin on deck 12 or aft extended view on deck 8. I've had an aft extended view before. My husband loves them. But I'm wondering if a spa cabin is worth it? I'm afraid I won't utilize it.

I received the RU1 offer 2x. So I used it on two different cruises. Each cruise it was about $200 more to use that code. My husband received the RU2 offer which isn't bad either. The RU9 code is awful.

Your TA can call Carnival for a payment extension.

Do they do it on trip out of Galveston?
Depends on the ship. The Dream doesn't have the Red Frog Pub. Only the Rum bar on the lido deck. The casino should have specials though.

I had YTD last month on the Dream, there was 11 of us. We had no problem getting seated. But we also got there right before they started seating.

My last 2 cruises out of Galveston both on Valor (Oct 2018 and April 2019). My luggage was delivered by 12:30.

Did you go? How was it?
I don't go until next month.

I'm hoping to book for my anniversary in March 2021. Just trying to convince my husband that it's okay to fly to port. We sail out of Galveston.

I've been here once back in 2013, it's time for me to return but I still have a long ways to go, July 2020. My friend and I got a cabana back then, boy the prices have gone up! Anyways, I am wondering about the clam shells. Where do you reserve them? How much? S&S card or cash? And do they have the blue mats/floats still? If so, do we reserve them, if so when? S&S card or cash?

I sail in July 2020 and the cabanas just opened up the last few days.

Where do you reserve the clam shells at?

All-inclusive Vista Mar Beach Club day pass
in Progreso/Merida (Mexico)

Hello. I went years ago. It wasn't a bad spot. But I won't go back. Not because of the beach but because of Shore Excursioneer. They were terrible. Getting me and my girls there and back was awful. We stopped at a few different spots and ended up a convenient store and this whole family got out and shopped. It was unreal.
