  1. We are departing from Marseille tomorrow and the Tour de France is coming through the city tomorrow. Although we are north of the circuit our hotel has not been able to book us a cab. I have tried to book one on Uber and it has reserved but wont confirm one. I know we may be able to get a bus 35 to the port but the terminal is probably a mile from the bus stop. Any thoughts. We have a four and six year old plus cases. Thanks Andy

  2. I'm going to give msc a wee ring to see if they have heard about the mdr, if they go back to early late sitting are they going back to there before menus, I booked msc after having reviewed previous menus which looked good, I really done like what I've seen up to now menus are terrible and for me the dining on a cruise is a big part of your evening, I'm new to cruising only been on ncl and rcc, wanted to see the difference in a European company, up to now not looking good, even the other msc ships, there top deck sun area have cabanas and padded loungers you'd think this being there new class they would have these, I'm going on 8th September, hope things change by then

Hi, please let us know how you get on, we are going on the 22nd July and also worried about the main dining room. Thanks Andy

  3. Good morning from Genoa!

This view greeted me from our balcony. We got into port at about 6.30am! I know this as being at the front of the ship we have vibrations as the ship turns round.

She really does sail very smoothly though!

We are on a ship excursion this morning, we are taking the scenic route to Portofino!

The Mr's fish course was as it said literally, no extras.

I had moussaka - it was ok.

At least we felt we had had some food as we had 2 starters each & a bit of bread!

We both had the profiteroles as a dessert.

The pastry chef does seem to have some finesse as the bread & desserts are consistently the best things about MDR meals.

Sure you will have a great time, nothing better than being on the ocean. Happy Cruising
