  1. Agree! We went on the last day and enjoyed an uncrowned Horseshoe bay beach, nice ride back to the ship. The bus drivers tell you to leave around 1 too allow for any road delays.

We are planning to Horseshoe Beach on a Sunday when the ship gets in. Do you know how late the beach is open? I see hrs. posting to 5pm for the café and bathrooms.

Does that means the beach is closed too, or can I still swim. If the beach stayed open later, I would go later on Monday ,after touring Hamilton. I wish the stores were open on Sunday. Is the Dockyard all closed too? Thanks

  2. I am thinking of doing some night swimming in Bermuda. Are the Bermuda Beaches open at night, or is there a closing time?

Does anyone know if there is transportation back to the Naval Dockyard from Horseshoe beach, or any beach from 6pm or later.

Normally I take a van back around 5pm because I never really new if there were official beach hours.

I have only been to Horseshoe, who has tried other beaches, and did you like them?

    Thanks

  3. They will likely be gate checked, over head space is really limited. You will need to check with the airline as to whether they will be available for you plane side or checked all the way through. I suspect that you will be able to get them plane side, but O'Hare may be different.

I called United and my plane can accommodate roller boards . I waited 10 minutes to speak with an agent. The agent looked up my reservation and took a look at what plane is being used. There are different configuration's of Embraer 175's, and I am all set. Thanks!

  4. Hello!

Sailing date is getting closer for POA. I have read much online and even called the airports about the shuttle bus service in Maui and Kauai. In Maui I am using Dollar rental. In Kauai I am using Budget. It depends on who answers the phone as to what I am told about the shuttle service. There is still confusion about the shuttles with online readers.

I was told both companies offered service back and forth from the airport to the pier until a certain hour. In the morning the shuttles circle the pier until 11:00am. If this information is not correct ,please advise. Also can one park the car near each pier or must I leave it when not in use at the airport?

    Thanks!

  5. Make sure you reserve your rental prior to cruise at Maui - we did and everything went very smooth -- others did not and there were no rentals available for them !

    Enjoy your Hawaiian cruise :)

I am going in May and have rented a car for Maui from Dollar rental. What were your favorite sites to see. I am into beaches. Thanks!

  6. I am renting in Maui(dollar) and Budget in Kauai and I am told both have shuttles back and forth to the pie-POA cruise. I did call the airports to check on this information ,but there is still confusion about shuttles online.

Has anyone used Dollar and Budget? How did the shuttles work? I was told there is a big lot to park near both piers. Is this true? Would I be better using the airport shuttles back and forth to the pier? Trip coming soon. Thanks!

  7. Thank You for this post? Sailing May 20th. Flying in May 17th and will get on the plane to HNL in Chicago. I am disappointed that there is no entertainment on United. Can I use my own tablet?

Pre Cruise at park Shore which is at a quiet section of the beach. No excursions booked yet. Thinking of booking Pearl Harbor at the end of the trip. Pearl Harbor offered and then PH plus bus tour offered. Welcome any ideas on excursions.
