I just got off of Paradise last Saturday and they did show 2 movies during the cruise (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Avengers: Infinity War). They do not have a dive in movie screen so they show them in the Queen Mary Lounge. There was only 1 showing of each movie and it was at 8pm on the evenings we were in Cozumel & Grand Caymen, no movies on sea days. Hope that helps.

Penne Mariscos – The noodles were ok but I did not care for how the seafood was cooked (and I love seafood) it just seemed soggy

Chocolate Panna Cotta – Ok but didn’t like the texture

Pie A La Mode – Gavin loved it.

Carnival Melting Chocolate Cake – I didn’t get a picture of it tonight but Jason got it with ice cream and peanut butter which was awesome!

Dinner:

Braised Short Ribs – I did not try them but the guys said they were good

Beef Lasagna – OK but wouldn’t order it again

Chicken Milanese – Did not really like, the chicken was chewy

Flat Iron Steak – John ordered it rare tonight and said it was the best steak of the cruise

Escargots Bourguignonne – I did not try this, actually the only person at our table who did was Roger and he said they were good (I will take his word on that).

Marinated Chicken Tenders – OK

Fried Shrimp – Good

Honey Roasted Ham – Good

Tonight’s Bread

Appetizers:

We decided to head down to dinner around 5:15pm to walk around a bit beforehand. The ship was really hoping now and everyone was moving about, with this being the last night on the ship I guess that they wanted to get in everything they could.

We went by The Taste Bar to check out tonight’s offering but decided to skip it.

Around 5:50pm we headed to the dining room and were seated immediately. They put us next to a window so our dinner view was fabulous.

**We ended up eating dinner at the main dining room 3 nights of the cruise and 1 time at the buffet. Each time we chose to be there as soon as they opened due to the size of our party and were seated almost immediately each night. We did YTD but would have been ok with early dining. Late dining would have cut in to some of the activities we enjoyed but I think for future cruises we will stay with YTD to give us that option**

Lunch - (I just about forgot about lunch)...we all were still doing our own thing so John and I went to the buffet to check it out and stopped at the grill to get a burger.

Shopping – I found these really cute color changing bags (they change when they get in the sun) and the Lido deck had a table full of t-shirts on sale. I also purchased my Carnival photos at Pixels after dinner.

Carnival Secret Deck (I believe this was on decks 8 & 9) -

It was really windy since it's at the front of the ship but very peaceful (there is no seating up here except for a bench).

The rest of the day was spent taking it easy and everyone doing their own thing.

After breakfast the kids went to the pool while I went back to my cabin to pack and hang out on the balcony.

We already have our towel animal for the day.

Gorgeous day, we couldn't have asked for better weather.

12:00pm The Very Hairy Chest Contest –the Lido deck was crazy packed but we found a place to watch and it was hilarious.

12:40pm Ice carving demonstration on the Lido deck.

1:15pm Carnival Tower – Gavin and I went to play this in the Seven Seas Lobby; it was fun and a lot like giant Jenga.

1:45pm Love & Marriage Show – Jason Cindy, John and I went and watched this show and OMG I laughed so hard, especially at the oldest couple they picked. Monty was a riot and really had everyone going. (They picked 3 couples: the couple who has been married the longest, the couple who has been married the shortest and 1 couple in between. Everyone else was asked to stand up and make out with your spouse to be chosen for the last slot. The chosen couple were rolling around on the stage to get picked, oh well.)

The characters came around to the tables and you could have your picture made with them.

Cindy surprised Jaycee that morning with a Dr Seuss book for her to use to get autographs but they also gave her an autograph sheet.

Parfait – you were given a choice of a strawberry parfait or fruit parfait with granola (both were good)

Our group tried:

Green Eggs and Ham – the eggs were weird looking but tasted pretty good (better than the buffet eggs)

Truffula Tree Pancakes – just pancakes but still tasty

Cereal-Crusted French Toast – I didn’t try but the kids said it was good

Belgian Waffles – waffles with blue and red topping (or you could get them plain)

Steak and Eggs – yum…also came with potato straws

The menu looked like a Dr Seuss book.

The food was themed and the tables were all decorated.

This morning we had the Dr Suess Breakfast scheduled for 8:45am (we signed up for this on our first day). This was one of the best activities on the ship; people of all ages were there and got dressed up in character (we did too).

Day4 (June 1st) Sea Day:

I just stumbled on this review and I'm really enjoying it! There are so many Carnival ships we haven't yet sailed and the Victory is one of them.

Thank you. Victory was our first cruise with Carnival and we truly enjoyed it. Everyone on board was upbeat and nice and just a great atmosphere. We have a cruise booked for next month on Paradise and I look forward to checking out more of the ships.

We were all exhausted so we went back to our cabins to shower and rest. We decided not to eat in the dining room tonight so family 2 ordered room service while we went to check out the buffet. I sat down to eat at 8:40pm and the buffet was really busy since the ship was in port till 10pm.

We headed back to our cabin and turned in early.

We did some shopping at the local stores and boarded the ship around 7pm.

COZUMEL CRUISE EXCURSIONS OVERALL EXPERIENCE:

Once you got away from all the tourist stuff the island really is beautiful. Everything we did was included in the cost of the excursion (even the food, bottled water and cold beer) and I would definitely do this again if we come back to Cozumel. One of the guides always stayed close to the jeeps to watch our stuff so we didn't have to worry about it. They were very knowledgeable about the sites and the history of the area.

We dropped our jeeps off and said goodbye to Paco and Yaret.

The tour took us all the way around the island, the northern part was very poverty stricken and run down and the guides told us after hurricane Wilma the island had never completely recovered.

The tour included a tequila tour/tasting which was interesting.
