We are on the Princess British Isles in  May. Does the ship typically cruise within viewing distance of Land? Is does travel clockwise or counter clockwise?

 I took this tour with Carnival a couple years ago. It was horrible in every way. I wrote Carnival after we got home and they actually refunded me the cost. They sent me a check and it was not a credit.

I see a product for smuggling liquor on to cruise ships called Cruse Runners. Or Cruise ship flak kit I know this subject has been beat to death and some folks will react with indignance about how wrong this is.

But-I am interested to see if any anyone has used this product successfully or any other product?

I do like the idea of renting a car

So if I rent a car and just drive what kind of costs can I expect to visit the various areas in Beaches area?

We are on the crown princess and arrive in Le Havre 5/24/2019

We only want to see the normandy beaches--nothing else

The Princess excursion is over $400 for 2 and is 10.5 hours which is in our opinion quite high and quite lengthy.

How far from the port are the beaches and can we just take local transportation to save some ?

anybody know of any local excursions that are shorter and less$

If I see a couple chairs that have been hogged by someone just putting a towel on the chair and the folks around the chairs tell me nobody has been in them for at least an Hour I always every time take the towels to the attendant and let them know I have liberated the chair.

I have done this numerous times and have never once had any kind of confrontation.

Nobody has a right to hog chairs and if we let people do this the practice will continue

I don't do this if they have left personal belongings on the chairs

If someone gets caught sneaking Booze on to a Carnival ship what is the downside/

I no longer see these available in Grand Cayman or Costa Rica? Has carnival decided to just no longer offer these? If so, why not?

We plan on arriving in Tampa the day before our Carnival cruise.

Looking for suggestions for nearby hotels that will provide, or arrange to provide transfer to the terminal.

We like Holiday inn properties if at all possible.

I see one on Clearwater beach but is that too far from the port?

This is our first cruise out of Tampa and we have never been there.

and---If we book a return flight at about noon is that pushing it or would a later flight be smarter?

I am looking for recommendations for Panama Canal cruises.

I am ok with starting on the east coast and ending on the west coast or vice versa.

I see they can be expensive with the canal taxes etc but I can live with that.

This is just something I have wanted to do for years.

Anybody care to share good or bad experiences and which cruise line?

I think I am leaning away from the credit for excursions because I don't really see 3 that would appeal to me any way. I might do a parasail some where but the rest are all kind of redundant anyway

I am on the Escape 5/13--20 Western Caribbean.

Just looking for opinions.

Right now I have selected the $50 onboard credits for up to 3 excursions.

I also chose the 250 web minutes.

I am told I can switch if I want

So I am wondering if doing the specialty dining (assuming I would use it) is a better deal?

and keeping the web minutes?

My upgrade offer no longer shows on my NCL page. I guess that means it is not available any longer??
