Have you called at least every two weeks two months ago?

no.  The email I received when it was canceled said "Taxes & fees and any RoyalUp upgrades will be automatically refunded."  No phone call required.   I know it's been crazy times, so I've let it slide until now - guess I'll be making a phone call.

  2. Just curious - did Costco tell you when Day 1 was?  Was that the day the cancellation was announced, or the day of the email by Costco officially telling you it had been canceled?   Is that 90 business days or no?  We chose a FCC for our May 2 cruise that was canceled on March 24 by RCCL, booked through Costco as well.  To my understanding, we are to receive port fees/taxes and prior purchases such as a drink package, refunded to us - but we've received nothing thus far.

Debarkation- .............. An easy shuttle for $8/ea to the airport and we were out of there.

    Great review!  Thanks so much!

Question about the shuttle from cruise terminal to airport, did you schedule that ahead of time or just acquire the shuttle service after leaving the cruise terminal?   I thought I read somewhere (maybe even on Carnival website) that shuttle tickets were about $22 each, so I'd much rather pay $8!   Thx for the help!

  4. Any recent cruisers on the Miracle --- is the Muster Drill held outside or inside?    I always get a tad bit claustrophobic when it's held outside about 8 people deep and shoulder to shoulder with (sometimes stinky) strangers.... ugh.  Have loved our last several cruises where it's held at different locations inside, such as dining room, theater, etc.  Just wondering.... thanks!

  5. Just bumping this thread to see if @wrennies made it out of Charleston ok. Was your car (or any other passengers cars) flooded/damaged? Do you know if they made the majority of cruisers park on higher levels in area parking garages before you even left Charleston, knowing a hurricane was headed towards the US? I was in downtown Charleston on Tuesday and noticed the big parking lot (used for cruises) near the terminal didn't have as many cars in it as I thought it would and wondered if they had parking elsewhere as a precaution. Hope you all made it home ok!

  6. Oh goodness, just saw pics of flooding in downtown Charleston - so so sad. Port is closed and Ecstasy won't return until tomorrow... guess there will be some passengers with flooded out cars when they return. We were there (not cruise related) earlier this week and I did notice that the big cruise passenger parking lot near the ship was not being used (or if it was, there wasn't many cars in it when I went by), so maybe the Port Authority, knowing that a hurricane was on the way, had most passengers park elsewhere. But there were cars parked in the parking lot directly in front of the cruise terminal, handicapped section perhaps? Ohh so sad....

    THANK YOU soooo much Disneylover89!!!

That is perfect and exactly what I needed! How funny that we talked to our nephew just before they embarked and he STILL was "sure" they would be back in Charleston on Saturday morning -- gosh what a nice surprise to find out he had a whole extra day of fun! They arrive back on Sunday!

    Thanks again!

  8. I cannot find an exact Itinerary for the Carnival Ecstacy sailing today (5/29) out of Charleston, SC (Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay & Nassau are ports of call on this sailing)

Our nephew and wife will be on this cruise -- our home is halfway between theirs and the port. They left our home this morning but we failed to get an exact Itinerary from them with arrival/departure times at each port of call. ALSO our nephew told us they would be back to stay with us on Saturday evening, but I noticed on Roll Call for this sailing, that the ship doesn't arrive back into Charleston until Sunday morning??!!

We will be able to text with him before sailing - but I wanted to ask here in the meantime, because I knew CC'ers would be a huge help.... if you have the exact Itinerary for, or a link to, this cruise I would very much appreciate the help! Thank you SOOO much!

And to anyone going on this cruise today.... Bon Voyage!!! Have a great trip!

(Cross posted this onto the Ecstacy Roll Call board)

  9. I got it too and even asked my husband if he had a super secret awesome surprise planned for me tomorrow (knowing that it likely impossible) I'd be a nervous wreck if I had less than 14hrs to plan/pack and get to New Orleans (from NC)! Another weird thing is that I tried to sign into my Carnival account after getting the email and I had to re-register... it wasn't bringing up my account at all -- and it wasn't just a password memory issue. Odd.

  10. ABSOLUTELY stunning pictures - thanks everyone that has posted, this helps me tremendously (I'll be headed to St. Maarten in early March).

One question though.... to get from ship to Maho Beach (gotta see those airplanes), do we take the Water Taxi and get off at the second stop? Where to from there? Or is there another transportation method we should use? Thanks so much!
