  1. Hello!

I'm looking for a copy of the Camp Ocean schedule for the Sharks age group (9-11 year olds). We'll be on the Vista 6 day itinerary over spring break, but I would welcome seeing any schedule from a ship that has undergone the 2.0 upgrades. I have a really shy 10 year old, who hated Camp last year, but I'm hoping on a newer ship he'll have fun.

    Thank you!

  2. I just wanted to thank everyone for their input!

I agonized over whether to add Cheers or not, and I finally hit the purchase button tonight (2 days before sailing :D). It is vacation, this is a shorter cruise, and darn it, I don't want to play "snatch the bill" from my hubby all weekend. Now we can just relax, it's already paid for, and Mama will have the liquid patience to not try arguing against the need for another stuffed animal souvenir.

  3. I've been wondering the same thing. Our kids are 12, 9, 5, and 2. Originally, I planned on going with Paradise Beach because we didn't need AI. However, I read somewhere on CC that children in swim diapers aren't allowed in the pool there, which has me leaning toward Playa Mia to keep the two who aren't independent swimmers occupied. The cost breakdown of the two are pretty much the same when you factor in the $10 pp food and drink minimum at Paradise Beach.

9 days to go! I better get this figured out

  4. Thanks everyone! We do have a great PVP, but I didn't want to "bother" him until I was 100% ready to book, which won't be until after April 11 when we get home (just in case my hubby hasn't outgrown his motion-sickness after all).

I had no idea the fake booking setup only showed 10 cabins. I put too much faith in the power of the interwebs! But I guess that's better than assuming everyone else who wants connecting cabins has a more interesting social life than I do :D

  5. Hey y'all!

I'm new to the site and I'm about to take my husband and our children on their first cruise. I'm hoping they love it and I'm already starting to look at cruises for next spring break. I realize people like to plan ahead (and when the deposit sales are rockin', it would be hard NOT to book), but I don't understand the need to reserve one of a connecting set of cabins. I checked 4 ships last night and I couldn't find ANY connecting cabins available for a sailing more than a year away. I could get one, but the other side of the connection was already booked. CRAZY! I learned here that in many cases I can get a balcony and have that opened to create a passage, which helps, but I don't understand what the draw is for connecting cabins. I found one thread where people were raving about having an extra door knob for hanging swimsuits

Is there a swingers' cruising "thing" involving connecting cabins I should know about?

    Thanks!
