  1. I used packing cubes earlier this year on a Caribbean cruise. Fantastic that I could put my overnight and embarkation wear into an easy to grab cube at the top of the case. I rolled everything and fitted loads in. Even used them last month on a 2 night mini cruise. I was sceptical but am converted!

  2. This is a very thought provoking thread. I have have not cruised that much, but have always paid auto tips or had them included on an offer ( Celebrity) . But then also give extra to cabin steward and others who have given over and above. Have had an amazing young lady who stood with hand sanitizer when welcoming passengers back onboard and at mealtimes . Also those who keep the toilets and washrooms spotless. I like to think they would be included in auto tips but very much doubt it ! .

  3. Went on a mini cruise over the bank holiday at the end of May. On this occasion had a lucky dip cabin. My daughter booked this and we had cabin C721. (Inside towards the back) A good sized, well kept cabin for 3 generations. Woken on entering Zeebrugge at 6.30 by the most awful noise. It felt like we were inside a washing machine on a spin cycle. The noise was terrible .Later in the day I saw an officer walking past and asked if I could ask a question. I told him about the noise and vibration and asked if this was normal.? He said the position we were in we would hear the bow thrusters ! Wasn’t entirely convinced! Just glad we only had two early wake ups!

  4. My husband and I were also on the Reflection and it was our first cruise. We had a fantastic time and it won’t be our last. The food and staff were amazing and having excellent weather was a real bonus. Our cabin 8231 was great. There was plenty of hanging space and storage. We arrived home this morning at 10 am and have started to plan another trip !

  5. I have just purchased a set of 4 medium sized cubes. When they arrived they looked too small. However before returning them I decided to see how much would fit in each one. I was pleasantly surprised. On our Reflection cruise in 2 weeks time we are spending the night before in a hotel. One cube for nightwear, toiletries, suntan lotion, swimwear, pool wear and flip flops, shorts and t shirt .Second cube for first night dinner wear with shoes, pm bag change of underwear and a throw on day dress. All items rolled and fitted in ! They then will fit inside my pull along hand luggage. Just in case our cases are late getting to cabin. My husband will use the other two.

  6. I am trying to log in to my Celebrity account so that I can potentially get some discounts during the flash sale. When I try to login it tells me that I have to wait 20 minutes because I have been locked out. I didn’t enter my password wrong or do anything wrong. In fact, the last time there was a flash sale I had the same problem. I had to call celebrity and she told me that you can’t just going to “manage reservation” and you have to do it some long complicated way. Does anyone know how to do that? I don’t want to miss the sale and of course at this hour they are closed.

Snap, I had exactly the same problem last night would not let me in. Also telling me had been locked out. Gave up and looked again this morning. This time got on first time, only to find no sale on my cruise that I could find. Hope you have better luck.

  7. Was just wondering if anyone is flying in from Uk for this cruise? I have been on the roll call and couldn’t see any.I am still counting down in weeks and not sleeps ! I have only booked three shore trips and for the rest will do our own thing.Am I right in thinking if we book 3/4 specialty restaurants only the first one will be booked on our behalf and can then book others as soon as on board? Like some others would like to work around chic night. We have the classic drinks package which will be fine for me. My husband prefers Rose wine and I can only see one on the list. Has anyone experience of this?

  8. I’m usually up and on a sunbed by 8 reading enjoying a quiet time. Husband follows on when he is ready. We have breakfast etc but never leave he lounger for longer than 45 mins or so. Of course if we have plans for the day we take pot luck. We are on the Reflection on 2/4 and can’t wait. We have only once been on a 2 nighters cruise from our home port of Southampton Uk.We like to make the most of the sunshine when we can. Have been thinking of a good place to sit/ lay and thought deck above pool. Not far to go if I need a dip to cool down !! Wherever you go in the world you always find sun bed hogging!. Thomas Cook announced today they are introducing a new scheme in some of their resorts. You can pre book a sunbed for the duration of you holiday and can choose where you want it ( limited availability) The cost 25 euros. !!!!!

  9. Have really enjoyed reading this thread and have laughed to myself a few times. My husband and I fly in to Miami the night before our first ‘proper’ cruise on the Reflection. The 2nd of April can’t come quick enough !! Previously we have only been on a 2 night taster mini cruise with P&O. Because we only live 20 mins from the port of Southampton have watched loads of ships come and go. Have certainly got lots of good ideas reading cruise critic.
