Thanks for the info. Doesn’t seem like it should be a large issue

totally understand that- will just want to minimize any delays that are unnecessary so I can get aboard ASAP!

Hi All,
I'm having so much trouble on RC online trying to get into my check in account and try to upload a photo. Seems like I'm frequently unable to access my check in account, and when I can- the process to upload/take a photo isn't working at all.
Is this common? I know RC website is crap- but I feel it should be easier than this.
Thanks for your help,
-
Thanks. Looks like a good menu, especially if you love Mexican food.
i have been to Sabor on freedom. Truly a great restaurant

You are required to use the promo on the first and second nights.
I actually got on board and tried to tell them I wanted chops the first night.... but since they were booked they gave me the 2nd and third night. Definitely told me that it wasn't a common practice, but it was awesome that they were flexible. This was on Freedom last November.
I'll probably get the BOGO for my harmony cruise next month. Just too good of a deal.

I was on Enchantment three weeks ago. We had a curtain. Gross. Water everywhere.
-
I agree- I was on Freedom a few weeks back and got very weak drinks until one bartender asked me at the Windjammer if I wanted a double. It seemed like Freedom was using jiggers to make drinks and Indy didn't (sailed March 2017 with Indy). Don't know if the policy changed- but started getting doubles on Freedom once I knew they were included. My stomach hurt a lot less due to the smaller amount of mixers I was consuming!

Also- the pool is a salt water pool ahaha- so it was a shock when i went under for the first time! They sell you floats and rafts to use for the day too. Would be worth looking into if you're into that sort of thing.

so if you go all the way through the shops you'll eventually see it. If you're turned off by the amount of shops and turn around you haven't found it yet- but yes- its near the beached area you can see from the boat. Its actually where they take the people who've paid for the dolphin swimming- so you can just stand there and watch them too.
Drinks are $$$ at the swim up bars, so for someone like us who did the drink package on board- it was a change to have to pay money for drinks again!
-
Costa Maya has a cool pool that is free for everyone to use if you walk past all the shops. Good cocktails and you get to meet people on the boat.
-
I haven't been to Ocho Rios- Cozumel sucks and Grand Caymen has been 10 years or so.... so no clue what to expect!
-
I would think that's good news.... if they think they can't open them then they would've already posted changes.
-
So is Freedom 11/11 but they're updating again tomorrow. TBH- it looks like they're updating more frequently so it makes me think there is a chance. Maybe 24 hours will be enough time to open them back up.

Just updated- No word on St Maarten or San Juan
Royal Caribbean leadership recently returned from visits to St. Thomas, San Juan, and St. Maarten. We continue to be impressed with the progress the islands are making to rebuild, and are excited to announce our return to St. Thomas with Adventure of the Seas on November 10.
Upon arrival in St. Thomas guests will be able to enjoy a vast array of activities, dining and shopping. Downtown shops are open and have full power, the majority of restaurants and bars are also open, and the boats and catamarans that are used to enjoy the waters of the Caribbean are ready for guests. We are also partnering with the USVI government and Magen’s Bay Authority to restore Magen’s Bay, one of St. Thomas’ most popular tourist attractions. The beach will have its pre-opening coinciding with Adventure’s arrival on November 10. Magen’s Bay will be joined by Secret Sands Beach, Secret Harbor Beach Club, Lindquists Beach, Honeymoon Beach on Water Island, and Abi Beach – all open for guests to enjoy.

Well the last one was 6pm- so that's what I'd think this time. I don't know for sure. Just not getting my hopes up.

A few points: If you know an offer is coming, why not reach out the employer and give them a heads up that you will be unavailable? You certainly don't want to set a precedent as "always accessible, even on vacation".
If you are just anticipating an offer, reach out to them and see if there is any additional information they need for their decision making process - and by the way, I will be out of town until XXXXXX.
Depending on the employer, many use an entirely paperless process, so you would receive a link to your offer where you review and provide an electronic signature.
As a Director of Human Resources (who recently sailed Independence!), I see these things play out daily when offering positions. Good luck and congratulations (in advance) on your new position.
Dan
Hey Dan,
I am myself in HR too. I am a Recruiter :). I have notified all parties. I am preparing to have to do my best while on the ship incase the offer comes through while I'm at sea. If it comes in the next day or so, I won't need to worry about it. Thanks for your input!

You will have the ability to print in guest computer area. However, I don't know if there will be any guest scanning capability. Would you be able to use your camera or phone to take a photo of the signed document and email that back?
That's a great point. I should be able to do that if the VOOM is good on Indy;p

Hello,
I will be sailing on Indy starting this Saturday. I'm expecting a job offer to come through while I'm out at sea. I'd like to sign and return while aboard. I do have the VOOM internet access. Will I have the ability to print and scan anything in the business center? I feel like the business center/ships capabilities with internet have come a LONG way in the past few years and haven't been to the actual business center in almost 10 years. TIA.

Hello all, I am starting to plan our next cruise and I need your expertise and experience. My wife and I are seriously considering Adventure of Seas out of San Juan that visits St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. John's, St. Lucia, and Barbados.
I have read a few trip reports on Adventure recently but wanted to get some more opinions.
How was it sailing out of San Juan? Is the clientele much different than what we have encountered on Freedom and Allure out of Florida? I only ask this because one reviewer said the other cruisers were loud, obnoxious, and crazy. I know the refurb was cut short because of the hurricane but that things have slowly been added but the room still were ignored? Are they really that tired looking? I'm fine with worn out carpet and couches but I read where there were broken lamp shades and torn curtains?
We have only ever sailed out of Florida but we are thinking of this cruise because of the itinerary and thinking this might be a great one last trip before starting a family but we don't want to be stuck for a week if the other cruisers are going to be crazy.
I went on the same cruise in April 2015. I thought the ship was very nice. I don't recall having unruly passengers or a ship that looked completely broken down. The casino was very nice to me :). It was the first time I had Johnny Rockets (It was free because it was my birthday!) on board. Our service was excellent, as always. Come to think of it- I played 3 card poker with a bunch of ladies from Smithfield, VA for most of the cruise (they were 70+ and I was 28). It was a delightful time. Food was okay- I remember the Lobster not being as fresh as I had remembered being on board in 2008. Probably just have had really good lobster since 2008 and my tastes had changed.
I remember the Cruise Director being fun, the pools being open, and never have to rush to get a pool chair early in the morning. I had a great time. The stops were nice, but St. Maarten was by far the best stop on the tour. No one hassling you to buy things right when you get off the ship. Oh- there is a casino right were you Dock in St. John. I had good luck there too. Most of the stops you could find a free WIFI hotspot at a local bar to connect for a few hours. This was before I knew VOOM was on board.
Overall, I recommend the cruise, however, I probably wouldn't go back- it was an expensive plane ticket for the experience, regardless. I am happy to have done it once. But i'll stick to Baltimore/Port Everglades, Miami from now on.
-
I haven't seen an option to purchase FNDR on Indy for my cruise in a week from now. Am I missing something or has it just not been offered? TIA
-
Hope you make it! Had to reroute my flight and buy a hotel for my cruise on 3/25 due to expecting weather here in Baltimore. Otherwise, I'd have been in the same boat!
-
Perfect! Thank you! 11 days!
-
How did you like self assist? Approx. how long did it take you? What time did you start and what time were you out of Port Everglades? TIA.
-
Crazy to me that this was your experience and has me terrified for my cruise in 11 days. I'm not going to be happy if I'm having to wait in a 15 minute line to grab a drink. I don't need crazy amounts of fruit in my cocktails- but I do expect to grab a Gin & Tonic within a reasonable amount of time. And if there is a consistent long line- I would want two. But I doubt that will happen!
