What Clarea said. You can make reservations online if you have the other reservation number. Just did this last night [emoji2] Make sure you both have the same dining option. We were first seating and had my TA change us to My Time which my friends had booked online by themselves. Trying to link reservations is a pain if you book separately.

fl-girl, you are not the only one! We try to do exactly as you are saying to save money...including driving from MA to FLA to save a gazillion on plane tickets!

I'd say if you're driving and don't have to pay for flights whatsoever, that's a heck of a deal! Plus when your cruise is done you can get in to your car pretty quick instead of taking a shuttle to some other off site parking lot.

Really? Not even the lobby? Well that's just silly. [emoji854] With Nassau I could take it or leave it so we are trying to just do something fairly cheap without paying for an excursion. Thanks for the info!

I'm sure they will not be hard to find (along with magnets) in the straw market [emoji4]

The last cruise we went on we met a couple that said they hopped in a cab and went to Atlantis to explore. I don't know how much of it you get to see, but it's cheaper than paying for an excursion. We may do that in a few weeks since I've never been over there in the three times I've been in Nassau. There is also a pirate museum (since I'll have my two kids) in walking distance from the pier that we'll check out.

We gave the kids snorkels, rolling duffels and luggage tags for Christmas. My oldest asked "Are we going on a trip or something.?" Lol. I played dumb. Then After they opened all their gifts, I handed them one last package which had the cruise catalog/book inside with specific pages marked. At first they didn't catch on but finally realized why they were getting those snorkels! They were super excited [emoji4]

Sounds like the Enchantment Itinerary [emoji4] We will be doing the same next month! I have been to Nassau 3 times and I could take it or leave it. We loved Key West and chose it specifically for that port. Honestly With Nassau I could take it or leave it. However, since this is your first time, I would get off the ship and explore every port. I would bring mostly summer clothes. I am from MA also and know humidity very well [emoji30] We are going to Nassau next month as well and I am packing mostly summer clothes with a couple kimono shawls and a couple pairs of pants for dinner, etc.

I've been on both Royal and Carnival...they're both the same to me but I find that Carnival crew members are super friendly and enjoy their jobs while Royals crew is just "there."

We prepaid. Much easier knowing that it's taken care of and we don't have to budget that in on our cruise account.

I have been on this ship back when the itinerary was Nassau, Coco Cay and Key West. I enjoyed it very much, but totally agree with you on some points. I think I remember having minimal towel animals as well and the staff just seemed to "be there" compared to Carnival's always smiling and helpful employees.
