  1. I agree about the Grand Prix being quieter than in the past. I have been to many Grand Prix all over the place, Asia, Europe, and our own British Grand Prix 11 years running. In the good old days the cars had "proper" engines :D These days if you watch on the telly you can hear the fans shouting and clapping in the grandstands. I very much doubt you will need ear defenders - maybe in days gone by if you are overly sensitive - but not now. I would say that the P&O provided ones will be perfectly sufficient and I doubt you will need them at all!

  2. Nicola Sturgeon tablets, thats a first..........better to take stugeron tablets they will be more effective.........LOL

Hahaha Mickey :D:D:D I have that woman on the brain. She gets everywhere, evidently she is deep in my sub-conscious. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I have read its £20 per day and you get breakfast and lunch and a robe and slippers - but I've never been on board (first cruise this october). Just read this elsewhere. I am sure we will do it once, just for the sake of saying we did it LOL!

  4. I do not think either could ever sing one left Westlife very early on and the other was really just a backing singer for the main singer of the band Ronan Keating of what were both manufactured bands.

Sounds like Bryan McFadden... can't comment on his singing ability but the others in Westlife can certainly sing - Ive seen them live many times. Saw Boyzone too. Just because they are part of todays "Cowell Culture" it doesn't mean they can't sing. These days they have to cut it live. Nobody gets up and mimes at live gigs - and live gigs is where they make their money, because the industry doesn't make money off record sales like it used to!

  5. I am gutted to read this because we are on the Ventura in October and I'd have really liked to see Boyzone (especially if they are indeed half of Westlife because I was a massive Westlife fan). £49 each including dinner is a great price.

Having said that I'd be insulted if I was asked to pay to see Claire Sweeney, Cheryl Baker or Darren Day LOL!!!

We would probably pay to see Katherine Jenkins I guess.

I will have to check out who is on Ventura - how can I find out?

  6. We are first-tiimers on Ventura in October and crossing the Bay and my father mentioned about rough seas. I have only been seasick once and never forgotten it. I shall definitely be looking out for Sturgeon tablets!

  7. Just as an opinion from a first time cruiser; we are booked on Ventura in October and personally I am horrified at the nerve P&O have to charge this much for WiFi!!!

ll I will want to do is post the odd picture and have a look at facebook, so I guess I will just pay the £7.50 package for "sea days" and not bother for days in port.

  8. Leoni, if you want to see more of actual cruise ships and their facilities and interiors, watch Sea Cruisers on You Tube. Two sisters who cruise the Caribbean frequently, and record everything. I had discounted cruising on Adonia, due to her size, but their video whilst she was on loan to Fathom, has made me reconsider.

Thanks for the tip! I will give that a go :D

  9. I think Jane is lovely and very genuine actually; but I am really disappointed with this programme. I have just watched the second show, and lets be honest, most of us are not watching this to witness an experience on a small trawler. We have just booked our first cruise, last week I was "oohing and "ahhing" at the MSC Divinna, and wished they had shown more of the on-board experience, but the show tonight is of virtually no interest to me. They are concentrating far too much on the "off-board" experience and not covering enough time on ship.

  10. I am planning a two week cruise for my Mum and myself on October 1 from Southampton to the Med. .

I suspect you are on the same cruise as us. It's our first time and i was lucky to have some help from a friend who has cruised before and is a bit cabin-savvy. We chose B-deck mid-ship for the same reason. My father warned me about rough seas around the Bay of Biscay so I really hope we don't get sea-sick. I can't bear being sick!
