Has anyone done this trip? If so, what is the weather like, and what is the trip like? We did the April to Hamburg last year and it wasn't my favorite! Thanks!

We went on one last year from Fort Lauderdale to Hamburg. We are Princess Elite members from Southern CA, but have done mostly 7 days and shorter. We did one Mediterranean 10 day and it was very good. The first couple of days were pool days, but then it turned cool. But, it was very smooth. In fact, the captain said it was the smoothest Northern Transatlantic he'd sailed. I'm 53, and I found it a little slow. The entertainment wasn't very good and we found ourselves in the casino most nights. I read quite a few books and watched a few movies. I joined the spa and went daily for the different saunas and hot tub. The food was excellent, so we must have had a great chef. I also made it to the gym a few days a week as well. Bring warm clothes because despite what our phone apps said, it was very cold once we got to Europe. I wasn't prepared coat wise and had to layer quite a bit. We went on from Hamburg to Amsterdam. In fact it dipped into the 30's at night in Amsterdam and mostly high 40's during the day. We lucked out with no rain, except for a little in Hamburg. This year, we are attempting the Southern route (even though I said I wouldn't do it again). I think because it heads straight from Florida to Spain, it will be warmer so I'll have more pool time! Plus, I really want to go to Spain! Hope this helps!
