Hey! If by chance there’s one still available, I’ll take one! Erikson.ng8@gmail.com. Either way what a nice thing to do!

How was the crowd on the boat? Young? Old?
-
Gem had White Party this past week...
How was the crowd on the boat? Young? Older? More mixed?
-
Sorry never been on the Gem, what’s spinnakers? Going on the Gem end of July. Also what’s the crowd like?
-
If your bid gets declined, can you bid again? Also what do you think would be a good bid going from a ocean view (OK) category, to a mini suite. Minimum bid is 50. Going on the Gem end of July.
-
Hey! great job! Im staying in that exact room at the end of july and was wondering if you had anymore pictures of the room? Thanks!
-
Booked an ocean view this morning on the Gem July 21st. Haven’t received any emails on bidding/upgrading.
-
What would be a good range bid going from a inside room to a balcony?
-
If my cruise is 3 weeks away and I book today, will I still receive the option to bid? Since its so close?
-
How was the crowd on the Gem? Were sailing at the end of july on the Gem to the bahamas, we know its July so its going to be a lot of families, but is there still a younger crowd? ( 25-35)

You will not be given the option to bid on an upgrade to Haven from inside. You will only be able to bid on ocean view and balconies, because you can only bid two "metas" higher than your own. The one caveat being that if you are in a haven, you can bid on other, higher category Havens. Also, you can't "combine" rooms. So if you had separate inside rooms for each person and one won an upgrade to a Haven two bedroom, only that ONE room would be upgraded, the other person would not be given Haven access.
Thank you for clarifying. If we booked a GTY inside stateroom and bid to upgrade to a balcony, if we won the bid and received a room, would we then be able to move our rooms closer together?

Sorry, new to this, I have a few questions that if anyone could answer would be greatly appreciated. I am sailing with friends ( 4 of us ). We sailed last year on the Breakaway so the single studio rooms were great. Were planning on going on the Gem in a few weeks, but that ship does not have those rooms so were exploring options. Either everyone book a single room to themselves, or get a haven suite that has separate bedrooms. ( 2 of us per suite). Is it possible for us to book an inside stateroom then try and bid high on getting the haven suite with bedrooms? Will we even receive an option to bid with the cruise only being a couple weeks away? ( its in late july ) Also does anyone have a clue as to how much PP a bid would be to go from an inside stateroom to a haven suite with bedrooms. Sorry for the long post! Thanks!

If you're looking to change your cruise, two friends and I (3 girls ages 24-26) are cruising on the Breakaway in April! We'll let you know what the singles crowd is like ;)
Thanks , def let me know

Just to clarify - the meet ups on the Breakaway & Gem aren't for "singles" - they are for people travelling alone. Incidentally I have never been on a cruise where people in your age group didn't all find each other and have an awesome time - even in the summer. There could be a lot of families with kids and there could also be a lot of adults travelling without kids who can only travel in summer. I went on the same cruise, the same week 3 years in a row on the Jewel out of NY and the mix of people was different each year.
Join your roll call on here to get an idea for other people travelling on your cruise but it is not hard to meet people on the Breakaway!
Thanks!! Good advice :D

Will look into the gem

Lol thank you, I guess having fun and enjoying being on vacation means different things to different people. But thanks for the useful replies. :)

I was just simply wondering if anyone with cruise experience noticed if that this cruise was basically just mainly families or also mixed in with groups such as ours. Nothing dirty or anything like that so please don't mislead this thread. Thank you

Do you think we would have been better off going during late August?

Me and 3 of my buddies (between the ages of 25-35) are going on the Breakaway in July to Bermuda for a week. We're looking to relax, party and basically have a good time with other girls around the same age. Will the Breakaway around that time be fun? Thanks!
