  1. It's much easier for those of us who book directly and don't involve a middle man.

Yes, I agree. This is our first time using an independent agent, and although she has been fabulous to work with, and I enjoy our interactions, I miss having control of my booking and the freedom to do what I want when I want immediately.

  2. I emailed my travel agent with a request to submit the form earlier this week. TA just called Carnival the next morning instead and they gave me the price change as OBC over the phone, no form needed, but it had to be the TA that called. She said it was easy peasy. This is the first time one of our cruises has ever gone down in price, so we are happy campers.

  3. I have unusual severe anaphylaxis food allergies and have only cruised Carnival. We have always had a great time, and I’ve never had a reaction. I speak to the Maitre ‘d the first thing after we board, and they have me choose my meals for that evening right then, and then bring me the menu for the next day each evening. We prefer set time dining so the servers get to know the issues and are a second defense against mistakes. Works great! I still carry my inhalers and epipen with me, but have never needed to use them on a cruise, thank God! It is the reason we choose cruise vacations.

The only ship I’ve cruised that you mentioned is Triumph, but it was a long time ago, so I’m sure my info is obsolete.

    Have a great cruise!
