Loved the review!! Thank you so much. You did great on the Flowrider!

I'm looking for a great weekend getaway and I've stumbled across the Mariner of the Seas.
I've only ever sailed RC once and that was a loooong time ago. My question is, what is included with Royal? What would we need to pay extra for?
Any experiences from this ship would be greatly appreciated!!

I cannot speak for the Sunrise but the Sensation was my first.. She will always be special for me. I also sail on her again next Thursday and i cannot wait. She is an old ship but i loved her. The smaller ships feel less crowded.
That's how I feel about the Elation. She'll always be special.

Looking at a short birthday trip next year and the 2 ships that fit the timeframe/price we want are the Sensation and the Sunrise.
I realize there isn't much difference in the ships, but which would stand out to you?

559 days. Ugh, this is going to be long!

Could I ask what the name of the excursion was through Carnival? Very interested!

Has anyone previously sailed the week before Christmas? How much of a crowd can we expect?
I'm excited to see the ship decorated. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! Combine that with a cruise and it's pure heaven!!

We had a Spa 9 balcony on Sunshine in February. We spent a lot of time in the thermal suite every day, so it was well worth it to us. I can’t comment on the spa services because we refuse to pay the ridiculous prices they charge.
Same here, that's why I want a spa room. I'll take the spa amenities but I can't pay for any spa services. Not at that price!

What is in the thermal suite? I've never stepped foot inside a Carnival Spa before... yikes. Would just like to know what's included.

Does anyone have any experience with a cloud 9 spa balcony room on the Sunshine? I would love to hear your thoughts. What was included, how were the spa amenities? And would you recommend? Thanks!

Would I be wasting my money if I booked the Atlantis in December for the pools and water slides?

Thank you all so much! I didn't even consider stopping earlier for more sleep. MUCH better idea!!

Is there a hotel you can recommend if we are to arrive between 3-4am? We are planning on driving after work, but would like to get a room for a few hours sleep before boarding the ship.

Can you reserve a water bike or other water sports equipment ahead of time?

I'm looking at a short 3-day cruise next year for a 50th birthday present. The one I'm looking at is an overnight stay in Nassau. What kind of excursion do you think would be worth it? Anything in the evening or would it be smart to just get back on the boat after it's dark outside?

Which kids club do you prefer for a 10 year old? Carnival or Royal?

I want to do a southern Caribbean cruise. But does the magic leave from puerto rico? Those are very port intensive and may not be the best choice for first time cruisers. Or is this one of the florida departures?
I'm not sure where it leaves from currently, but in 2020 it shows out of Miami.

My choice/recommendation would be an 8 day southern cruise on Magic or Breeze.
I was actually looking at the Southern cruise on the Magic. I've never done a ship that big so it would be new for me too.

Caribbean. A 5, 7 or 8 night at the most.

If you were taking someone on their very first cruise, where would you go and why?
I'm so indecisive. I've been to a lot of ports but I don't know what to decide on as a first cruise for someone else.
-
If for some reason I wake up at 3am and I am starving... what food is available onboard the Carnival Sunshine?

I am a divorced Mom and my last name does not match my daughter's. If I were to take her on a cruise alone, what will I need to do?

I wouldn't want any confusion when boarding . Some of those people can't even cipher correctly .
Any chance you guys could reconcile 🤣 just till after your cruise 😋
🤣 I'd rather spend an hour or 2 having them try to get me on the ship then deal with that drama!

Has anyone had this stateroom? I've tried to Google to see the setup but I see a video of the same cabin number on the Navigator. Is it the same layout?
