  1. Hi If you get your flight locator and ticket number from P&O then call Emirates they will book your seats for you, we chose upstairs economy and they cost £60 each, seats are 2-4-2 upper and 3-4-3 lower I think lower rear seats are free. We are on the Birmingham flight on the 19th Feb.

  2. Just to let you know we booked in May 2017 to sail on Crown Princess on Feb 2nd 2018, and on joining captains circle we were awarded elite, this was because of our many cruises with P@O, however when we boarded we were given Blue status, we enquired to the reason for this and was told that we had to complete a cruise by 17th December, and booking date was irrelevant.

Good luck and I hope you keep your elite status as the princess rewards for loyalty are far superior to P&O.

  3. I have only just spotted this thread. I have 152 days cruising with P&O and am registered on Princess as elite.

Booked my first cruise with them yesterday (12th) for a 7 nighters to Norway in July. Got my confirmation email today which clearly shows our loyalty level as Elite. Unsure now if we get to keep it or start from zero.

Bad news I'm afraid we booked on May 17th 2017 to sail on the Crown Princess Feb 2018, and was given elite status as we are Caribbean on P & O, but as we haven't sailed with Princess before we have been reduced to Blue level and have Zero points.

Still looking forward to the Princess experience though.

  4. Yes, some people may think the all inclusive price is unrealistically expensive but I disagree. I generally get up around 8am and my head is a bit whoosey on account of the alcohol still in the system. However you can take stuff you have stashed overnight into breakfast for a top up and have it with your meal. There's generally a quiz mid morning and if you want a good seat I get there early and get a few bevvies in for the quiz and when bingo follows you don't mind if you do not win. I think I have won in the past but was busy getting the waiter's attention and missed the boat. Lunchtime is soon after that and normally as you know, they store up your unused wine and save the rest for dinner. There's normally an afternoon trivia, so I just repeat the morning system. Then on to the evening meal, I like second sitting as some cruises you get an officer on the table who buys the wine, a godsend in my opinion. Then it's off to the theatre where it's best to get an end seat so the waiters can get at you. I go to second performance, then onto the karaoke place where I like to sing a bit and get a few rounds in with the current crowd. After that it's on to the casino, which is a bit of a waste of money but normally the waiters are good at bringing the drinks round to the players. Normally this closes at around 12.30 so I like to get an early night so I can be up early for breakfast. In my opinion All Inclusive will be excellent value for money.

    Regards John

Thanks for this you just brightened up a bad day

  5. Hi Humpy. Thanks, that's really helpful. On our next cruise, we have an embark time of 3:30pm, so I thought we'd drop off the bags early to make sure they arrive in our cabin in time for the evening 'dress-up'. We'll drive off somewhere for a nice lunch, then wander back, drop off the car and jump on board, by which time my case should be waiting for me :)

Yes we are doing similar as we also have a 3.30 slot, we are planning to drop cases off and car also, then walk back and find a nice bar for lunch and a tipple or two. Dropping ladies and hand luggage at bar first.

We are Ocean so not too far to walk.

  6. If presumably Caribbean tier and higher get first nod, does anybody know if you can book more than one cabin, ie extra cabins for lower tier people.

Its just that I have a birthday next year and would like to book a few cabins together.

My wife and I are Caribbean tier by the way.

    Thanks

  7. £40??!! for a day on a beach? That's unbelievable. Sorry, just my thoughts. I think our day out with Cosol was about £30 and was really interesting and enjoyable. You can only sunbathe on a beach. You can do that on the ship?

Blimey 40quid I would expect Free alcoholic drinks and a nice buffet for that price, oh and a pleasant sea breeze and of course a lovely blue ocean to swim in. Not quite the same on the ship me thinks.:):):)
